Reverse Google image search tells me that that's actually one of the stupider concepts for the Mi-28, back when the design spec still asked for squad transportation capacity.
How they got from that to this:
[t]http://www.hdwallpaperstop.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Cool-Mil-Mi-28-HD-Wallpaper-Russian-Helicopter.jpg[/t]
is beyond me.
Also, a bunch of chain-wikiing led me to this:

It's like someone put two sea sprites through a giant roller and slammed them together.

wait, what the hell? Won't the rotors hit eachother?
wait, what the hell? Won't the rotors hit eachother?
No they won't, they are set perpendicular to each other and are a bit slanted.

I speak German, and When the Germans spoke they literally yelled shit like "schnitzel!" and other German foods, and random shit.

The Cheyenne is one strange machine. Too bad it had the tendency to vibrate apart.
wait, what the hell? Won't the rotors hit eachother?
No, there is a drive shaft that makes sure they don't, like the chinook.

Did they get Radical Larry to test pilot?
I speak German, and When the Germans spoke they literally yelled shit like "schnitzel!" and other German foods, and random shit.
Uh
It's a propaganda/training video
Don't expect a ton of accuracy
I just thought it was funny.

I think it's hilarious :v:
Did they get Radical Larry to test pilot?
No, the helicopter had resonant vibration issues that caused the main rotor blades to hit the body of the helicopter, killing the test pilot.
"this-kills-the-testpilot.jpeg" etc etc
I speak German, and When the Germans spoke they literally yelled shit like "schnitzel!" and other German foods, and random shit.
Yeah that sounds about right, Disney propaganda videos were extremely racist, they weren't exactly shooting for an accurate depiction of "the enemy". But they had catchy music.
Also, just being technical, they probably went with the food and whatnot so they could have German-sounding dialogue without actually translating any lines into German.

guess the pilot wasn't all business
Thanks to reader Alexandr in Russia, we have a new look at a prototype for the AEK-971 rifle, this time the military 6П68 variant. The Russian armed forces have used variants of the AK-47 rifle ever since the end of World War II, and the design is starting to show its age especially compared to the latest advances from the Belgians and Israelis. The latest design uses a polymer receiver instead of the old stamped sheet metal, a telescoping stock instead of the folding design, and uses the same balanced recoil system as the AN-94 (which uses two pistons and two gas chambers synchronized through a gear to reduce recoil).
fcuk
It looks like something between an AEK-970 series rifle, and almost something G3-pattern. To me anyway.
Seeing how it's Russian made, I bet there's no chance of the polymer melting. Not at all...
people says it's looking mp5-ish, lol it really is because the telescoping stock and the finish, but it's good looking
that looks very very practical
Considering how extremely violent an AK's action is, it doesn't seem like a wise choice to make the receiver out of polymer.
people says it's looking mp5-ish, lol it really is because the telescoping stock and the finish, but it's good looking
To me the whole back of the receiver looks MP5-ish, stock, sights, the shape on the sides, even the trigger group somewhat.
Seeing how it's Russian made, I bet there's no chance of the polymer melting. Not at all...
Polymer doesn't melt.
Polymer doesn't melt.
Tell that to the G36.
I liked the older front grip and folding stock better ):
Tell that to the G36.
Technically speaking they just crack and warp, don't really outright liquefy. And as I believe we've already covered several times: the newer G36A2 replaced the faulty polymer parts with aluminum, also added much needed rails.
Tell that to the G36.
it does not melt, the trunnion CRACKS and WARPS and causes the barrel to lose it's zero-ing with the irons and scopes.
I thought one of the popular jokes around here was 'hur dur g36 melt' but i guess not.
Here are some east german AKs to make up for it.
