yeah how exactly does the cartridge ejection system work? like at all? does it rely on the cylinder cycling fast enough so there's enough momentum to throw the case out or something? cause that sounds insanely shoddy. if it doesn't it looks like the hot casings just tumble down the side... onto the hand of the user [editline]13th June 2013[/editline] those are kinda still jamming issues. even if they aren't inherent to the gun you still need to take the user into account otherwise without a user it's a stapler. not taking human error into account is a serious mistake and a pretty bad oversight.
the casings are cool when they come out. low pressure ammo with nylon cases, all the heat goes into the barrel and not the case

that's actually pretty cool. it would be even cooler if it didn't look like ass though. and is it magazine fed or do you put each round in one by one? magazine fed i could see myself looking past how it looks and say it's a pretty badass little gun. [editline]13th June 2013[/editline] the top gun with the p90 mag why but then again for some reason i am drawn towards it...

AR-57 is my favorite AR family gun.
AR-57 is my favorite AR family gun.
AR-10 :colbert: [sub]when it works[/sub] Seriously though, the AR-57's pretty cool. I really dig that it ejects out the magwell.
AR180
AR180
reminds me vaguely of the daewoo rifle in how it looks
I would like the AR57 if i liked 5.7x28.
why are people so combative here. i mean i understand passion but this is just downright aggressive. and all it does it just breed more bad vibes and ill will. i'm not saying i'm a saint by any fucking means, but can we chill here?
Nobody's being aggressive, I'm simply calling you out where you're wrong, you're the only one getting worked up here. You don't call a Camaro a Mustang, and you don't call a Mustang a Charger. Things have names and their names aren't interchangeable, it's as simple as that.
AR180
Oh yeah, gotta love the AR-18, shame you don't see them all that often. Although it was one of Ahnold's weapons in Terminator
i didn't even know what AR-18 was before i watched The Terminator
God I love the look of Tokarev pistols So glad I own a Polish one, they're so amazing <3 [img_thumb]http://www.deactivated-guns.co.uk/images/uploads/Chinese%20Tokarev/Tokerev_cheap_6.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.imfdb.org/images/d/dc/Polish_M48_Tokarev.jpg[/img_thumb]
I'd like that pistol a lot better if it was chambered in a bigger round. dunno why, even if the round it's chambered for is more effective that gun just looks like a smaller cannon to me.
Zastava makes them in 9mm now, and Norinco has made them in 9mm aswell.
The Tokarev round (7.62 x 25) is utterly devastating though; way more effective over 9mm, just not as cheap :v: You come to appreciate the slimness of the Tokarev pistols when you're a smaller guy like me, people with long, slender fingers might find them a bit small
"Devastating" is a strong word.......
"Devastating" is a strong word.......
pretty accurate though, some of the hotter loads hit harder than .45 acp
"Devastating" is a strong word.......
Strong, but accurate. The commercial stuff isn't as ridiculous as the old surplus/wartime stuff, but it's still pretty hard-hitting. It packs one hell of a mean punch; stuff goes straight through Kevlar and Steel plates http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?83361-Proven-the-7-62x25-Tokarev-Kevlar-Penetration-Issue Although, it is known for over-penetration when it comes to stuff like self-defense, but commercial hollow-point and soft-points kinda even that out. Eh, call me a fanboy, but I love the round, it's done me nothin' but good
i guess the only reason why i'd get that gun and round would be for the piercing capability of the bullet and its cartridge. you know for the zombies wearing ballistic helmets. if i'd go with a little bullet it would have to be 357 sig though. that's a sexy round. it's got a nice load of powder behind it. and from what i can see with hollowpoints they're pretty good, and can be loaded with FMJ as well, and i'd imagine that it would have really good armor piercing capability. chamber that slavic piece in 357 sig and i'd bite. hard. but really the only reason in my mind why you'd need a piece that could pierce armor would be if you don't trust your government. we also need more 9mm rifle rounds that aren't subsonic... are there any such rifles?
.357 Sig is also amazing My P229 is chambered in it, and boy that is one smooth-shooting round; expensive, but nice. And really, I just think the Tokarev's a nice, smooth gun. The extremeness of the round is just a bonus :v:
actually that gets me thinking. is there any kind of pistol that's known to be able to be modified at home to chamber a variety of rounds?
And really, I just think the Tokarev's a nice, smooth gun. The extremeness of the round is just a bonus :v:
it is. whenever i see it i think "russian 1911". only problem is whenever i think of the 1911 i think of a mini cannon. which the tokarev is not. has nothing to do with effectiveness. it's all about the rule of cool. just look at how fucking big a .45 bullet is.
Anything Sig really, you can interchange barrels to fire anything between 9mm, .40sw, .357 Sig, and .45 Very versatile guns The Tokarev sure as hell sounds like a cannon though :v:
actually that gets me thinking. is there any kind of pistol that's known to be able to be modified at home to chamber a variety of rounds?
SIG P250 has multiple caliber X-change kits to make it into all sorts of calibers. I have one. The kits are a bit pricey, being around 200 dollars.
