I know that there are rail mountable front sights that would line up for AR-15 handles, I was just pointing out you'd need one, which also means you'd need to go with a railed hand guard as well as the receiver.

IMHO, dumbest thing Glock did, looks like crap too because the mount over the frame. They make an SF frame of the 20/21 if you don't like the larger frame, you don't need backstraps. Only thing I added to my Glocks was a Hogue sleeve grip for the finger grooves and palm swells.

It kinda was supposed to be. It follows the same philosophy of the STEN in that it's the simplest and cheapest SMG they could make, compared to the earlier PPSh's these things felt poor to use but took just over a third of the time to build, half the raw steel, and weighed less than half as much. Yeah it was ugly, but it was a pretty cool kind of ugly.

Also North Korea still uses them.

Interestingly the charging handle was actually located inside the hand guard. Saw limited use by the USMC, but got ditched due to proprietary parts.
