What do y'all think of the Stechkin APS? [t]http://world.guns.ru/userfiles/images/handguns/russia/hg22/1287754836.jpg[/t] Sure it's huge and heavy as fuck (1.2kg loaded), but I like the design of it. Maybe I just have a thing for Russian guns.
Meh. Its size and weight are a pretty big off-putting factor, and the design isn't really anything I haven't seen before.
The Heckler & Koch HK417 battle rifle, gentlemen. Whaddaya think?
It looks sexy but doesn't really offer anything else over other piston AR15s The LR-300 for example in an improvement, as it's piston based while enabling a folding stock
It looks sexy but doesn't really offer anything else over other piston AR15s The LR-300 for example in an improvement, as it's piston based while enabling a folding stock
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the LR-300 still technically a direct impringement driven rifle, just with an extended gas key?

That's fucking huge for an SMG, it looks almost like an SBR
That's fucking huge for an SMG, it looks almost like an SBR
Yeah, it's huge But hey, still lighter than the Thompson
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the LR-300 still technically a direct impringement driven rifle, just with an extended gas key?
I've never picked one up, led alone disassembled one, so I always figured it was piston. Why would anyone go to the trouble of extending the gas key then incorporating a spring into it?
i'm not sure what to think
I think we need more bullpup SMGs.
Are you sure that's "integrated"? It looks more like it's mounted similar to the sights on those IDF style CAR-15s, where the sight is mounted onto the hole in the top of the handle (same mount method as those old Colt scopes), but positioned in front of it. I think I've also seen grenade sights mounted onto T86 rifles in that fashion.
T86s and T91s don't have holes in their carryhandles, and I read in a Taiwanese Defense International article on 205th Armory how they did run trials on T86s with "integrated optics", so I'm assuming this is one of 'em. [editline]2nd July 2013[/editline] The T65K2 I think it is the Taiwanese rifle with a hole in its carryhandle.

Aha oh man I know they're over the top on purpose, but fuck me those deagles.
That AA12 is even more ostentatious :v:
I've always liked the Tavor, and this TAR-21 with an M203 Grenade Launcher does not disappoint in my opinion. [editline]2nd July 2013[/editline] Here is the Tavor STAR 21 rifle as well, the marksman version of the rifle.
bipods look silly on bullpups unless the barrel is long enough to have it's own little thing to attach one to.
Yeah probably, and it would be harder to aim with a scoped and tripoded bullpup in numerous cases as well, but I think that if the tripod were gone it would look and perform better overall.
Spess gun [sub](Bullpup SKS btw)[/sub]
I think we need more bullpup SMGs.
bullpups are counter-intuitive in the roles that SMGs fill. since SMGs tend to use regular old pistol ammo you can get away with like 6 inches of barrel with no measurable drop in accuracy or range, and bullpups are harder to reload than normal firearms.
Spess gun [sub](Bullpup SKS btw)[/sub]
how to butcher an sks.
I've never picked one up, led alone disassembled one, so I always figured it was piston. Why would anyone go to the trouble of extending the gas key then incorporating a spring into it?
Looked it up, yeah it's still direct impingement, just with the gas key lengthened to the size of an op-rod. not sure why. maybe they preferred to stick with a semi-DI system, maybe they wanted to prove inability to use folding stocks wasn't inherent to DI gas operation, maybe it was just easier to rescale existing components rather than design or implement a new gas system.
What was that one russian firearms site? firearms.ru or something? Found it, world.guns.ru
So how do you unsee all the screw holes?
I kind of like them. Looks sort of plain without them. (zero effort put into this, just wanted to see how it looked without them)
those stock sets are terrible, i bet the trigger pull on that thing is atrocious. not to mention looking horrid.
I love battle rifles. 5.56x45 is just bitch compared to the 7.62x51 [editline]2nd July 2013[/editline] give me an m14 over an m16 any day.
Spess gun [sub](Bullpup SKS btw)[/sub]
☑ bullpup ☑ white furniture ☑ spacegun without overdoing it ☑ sks ☐ removable magazine yep this gun was designed for me and only me, i only need to change one thing at it literally can't be any better.
