Well, I'll just post this.
Me in a Confederate (reproduction, but a good one at that) uniform, with a Union model 1863, if I remember correctly. Or an 1861. Can't remember. All I remember was breaking down in tears when I got home due to the immense feeling of pride I felt. (curse my Virginia origin)
Keep in mind, the Confederate rifles usually didn't make it so they usually stole the Union rifles and used them.

No, no we don't. We have a firearms thread in GD but thats more for us talking about firearms we own, giving advice, and talk about upcoming purchases and new releases. This thread is more or less just discussing firearms that are posted; it's pretty much always been that way.
It was that way up until recently (I guess when Riller left FOR SOME REASON) when people got sick of discussions for whatever reason.

You know what else is good for home defence? A big fucking dog. Just rub it's tummy, give it walkies and food and it will protect you and your family for as long as it lives. Seriously, even the gentlest of dogs could tear a mans arm off in seconds...plus nothing is more fear-inducing than hearing a great big dog running at you growling and snarling in a dark house.
Now if only we could train dogs to use guns, home defence wouldn't be a problem ever again.
