You said owning a weapon for home defense is illogical and then went on to reference the high rate of gun violence in the U.S. (80% of which is gang related) then indicated only Americans had that line of thinking.

Owning a weapon for home defense is a perfectly reasonable thing to do and is the only option some Americans face in times of recession where unemployment is high and the average credit is poor.
As for gun-suicide I fail to see how that is relevant.

some part of me thinks it's what cocks the hammer.
a single action revolver with a trigger instead of an external hammer. i dunno i like the sound of that for some reason.
