My brain hurts. Are they all assuming that people who uses that will be shooting from several feet or something?
Since it has all that unnecessary weight, it probably doesn't kick at all.
If I'm recalling properly, that's exactly it. It's a competition pistol, so the barrel is weighted to make it more steady.
So weight, let me get this right More weight = less recoil?
So weight, let me get this right More weight = less recoil?
I think in this case, yeah. Heavier barrels are used in PPC frequently. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_Pistol_Combat
So weight, let me get this right More weight = less recoil?
Yes.
So weight, let me get this right More weight = less recoil?
Less felt recoil
So weight, let me get this right More weight = less recoil?
yep M91/30 kicks less than an M44 despite being the same action and firing the same round.
hipoint pistols must have zero felt recoil i think im gonna buy an XDS
hipoint pistols must have zero felt recoil i think im gonna buy an XDS
Yeah, the only thing you'll be feeling after shooting a Hi-point is not your hands because they won't be attached to your body.
hipoint pistols must have zero felt recoil i think im gonna buy an XDS
grip safety
grip safety
Sorry I don't hold my gun retarded enough not to activate one of those none the less even feel that it's there. Own a xd40 subcompact and it's great
I'm envisioning a bolt action shotgun. Does this actually exist?
Yes my father had one 10 gauge i think, they're neat
I'm envisioning a gas operated fully automatic revolver. I already know these don't exist.
I'm envisioning a gas operated fully automatic revolver. I already know these don't exist.
I found somebody who made a gas operated ejection system for his

Has some sort of magic gas system and a webley-revolver-style grooved cylinder. Fired in 3 round bursts at like 4,900 RPM.
some norwegian made a revolver which used a two chambered cylinder in a semi auto revolver fed by magazines you inserted sideways could probably steal one of the 3 prototypes and make it f/a
Said gun's bottom-fed prototype pictured here.
Said gun's bottom-fed prototype pictured here.
I have to admit that looks cool. It looks a post apocalyptic wild west weapon.
Why is this not a thing then?
I haven't studied the rifle too much, but apparently it was more complicated than a certain kraut-space-magic-rifle, and it was also pretty heavy. They tried to scale down the mechanism of early auto cannons (I've posted about them before) into 5.56x45, but it was so needlessly complicated that it was impossible to field strip in any way. You couldn't use it in the field cause it took an expert gunsmith to unjam it.
I'm envisioning a gas operated fully automatic revolver. I already know these don't exist.
The closest you'd come would be to mess with the sear of a Webley-Fosbery or a Mateba to get it to "run away" if you kept the trigger depressed. The Pancor Jackhammer is technically an automatic "revolver" None of those are truly "gas operated" as they are all gas blowback/blow forward in the case of the Jackhammer. Gonna leave this question here: What does this thread think about the Norwegian Armed Forces choice of weaponry?
Replacing the MP5 with the MP7? Why would you even And the 416 is pretty ehh too.
Well, of the ones I know: MP5 is always good, a bit old but reliable, definitely a "tried and true" design. MP7 is low on power, not very effective HK416 and 417, both pretty bad choices since they tend to seize up in icy conditions, not to mention are just plain overpriced and not the best of AR-15s. G36, probably gonna get a melting joke, same price and reliability issues as the 416 and 417 C7 and C8 are both pretty solid rifles, also cheaper than the HK's. AG3, like the MP5 a bit out dated but still a proven design. Same applies to the MG3. Glock 17 is a pretty solid pistol, not the most attractive but it gets the job done.
that's pretty neat, but nothing i imagined. i was thinking of a standard revolver handgun, but with a gas system to rotate the cylinder and continuously cycle the hammer until the trigger is released.
Not sure why would even want an automatic revolver. They only hold 6 rounds (most do at least) so holding the trigger for more than a second would expend all your ammo, and only 1 round would be on target if it was a magnum caliber revolver.
Not sure why would even want an automatic revolver.
More than likely the ridiculous factor. Seriously, how fucking smug would you be if you owned a goddamn select-fire revolver? Why would anyone seriously buy a .50 AE Desert Eagle? Not for practicality that's for damn sure, it's the fact they could look you square in the eye and say they own a fucking handcannon. Auto-Revolver = Instantly the coolest guy on the block.
