Argh! Some bastard just nabbed the last vinyl copy of Wish You Were Here on Amazon, the second before I clicked the "Place Order" Button! :argh:
Try Ebay or Discogs mate.

Thanks bro.
I rarely ever venture outside Amazon :v:
Alternatively, check physical record shops. It's where I got all my Pink Floyd vinyl :buddy:
There's only two music shops near where I live, sadly one doesn't stock vinyl and the other sells a small amount of pretty expensive vinyl records that I usually have no interest in. I did see Lamb Lies Down on Broadway there once though.
is there anybody out there is my new favourite floyd song
Stoner Music.
Probably why it's so fucking awesome

Except it isn't stoner music.
This is.

Almost everything pre-DSOTM is Psychedelic Rock.

A large element of prog is psychadelic rock. So yeah, it kinda is stoner music.
My notions and way of thinking can be psychadelic most of the time. But I'm no crackpot. :smug:

Hence why I said almost.

Ummagumma is very psychadelic as whole a though. :raise:

IMO Disc 1 is pure Psychedelic, Disc 2 is pure Progressive.
Listen to the track I put in my post. Pure psychadelic rock.

Heck it's the last track :v:
I've always found Grantchester Meadows to be a folk ballad.
Fair enough, if that's how you see it I can't argue. I personally think the song is Roger Waters remembering the past and creating a really dreamy scene about it all.
Anyone else feel like Meddle doesn't really 'start' until Echoes kicks in? The other tracks all seem to be a build-up for me. As awesome as they are.
I think that the whole album is great and that Echoes is a great climax.
Thats what I think.

Well, that's how it's meant to be seen. However I would try to appreciate the world created by the tracks prior to Echoes.
The only time I feel the album goes a little out of place is the end of Fearless... Pointless in my personal opinion.

Stands up to Echoes any day of the week.
I'm not saying I dislike the other tracks or anything, I think they're amazing. One Of These Days and San Tropez are more favourable than Echoes, in my opinion. Echoes just seems to be the 'main event'.
Nice to hear you guy's responses, thanks. :3:

That was probably part of a demo they did for Echoes.

I've always thought that if a band is going to do a big 20-minute epic, it should be on side two, because otherwise the other tracks will feel less important if they come after the big one.
