Also it's probably a good idea to add that I just finished listening to TDSOTM Very good album, but not quite my favourite.
Then Atom Heart Mother. :smug:

Fixed. :smug:
Fixed the fix. :smug: [editline]25th March 2011[/editline]
Very good album, but not quite my favourite.
Most people's here is Meddle, might very well be mine too...
I'm afraid of disliking Atom Heart Mother, seeing as it got very polarized reception. Also, for me The Dark Side of the Moon got better the more I listened to it.
I dunno if I can really rank them since I haven't listened to all of them, but as of now my standings go something like: 1. The Wall 2. Wish You Were Here 2. Animals 2. The Dark Side of The Moon 5. The Division Bell They're all good, but The Wall is for sure my favourite and the others are all basically tied short of the Division Bell I haven't even listened to the other albums yet

Since you've pointed out everyone loves Meddle i'm listening to that now. I'll report back in 41 minutes
seeing as it got very polarized reception.
Can be taken into account, but can't stop you from enjoying it :smug:
As soon as I find a good place to buy them i'm going to go out and pick up most of the Pink Floyd discography on CD so I can listen to it in my car whenever I drive anywhere since I only have The Wall and The Division Bell
Fixed the fix. :smug:
Hm. Well played. :golfclap: And yeah, Meddle is pretty much a requirement. It's damn near perfect! [editline]dicks[/editline] One of the few Pink Floyd albums that I think are completely perfect beginning to end.
I dunno i'm through the first two songs and it's good but not quite my cup of tea
You judge things far too quickly, let things sink in... think a bit more about it. In fact, I would sit there not communicate and just listen. Well worth a true listen.
I'm doing so Fearless is pretty good, I like it more than the first two
Fair enough, it's not the most accessible Floyd album. Took me a few listens to get into it.
A lot of the Floyd albums take repeat listens to sink in. In fact... a lot of Prog albums in general require repeat listens.
A lot of albums require repeat listens. :v:
A lot of the Floyd albums take repeat listens to sink in. I'll listen to Meddle again after I finish it this time, but probably not til tomorrow.

The first time I ever heard Meddle was on vinyl, and it was fucking epic.

It's so awesome discovering new things hidden in each layer of music whenever you listen to it. I remember my 10th or so listen to "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis (not prog, but still), and noticing the bassline in "So What", changing my entire perspective of the song. It was magical.
Echoes begins now
The verses/choruses/whatever of Echoes are amazing

Done Meddle. Absolutely good, but not my favourite so far.
I have to admit, I'm not much of a brickwall kind of guy. Don't get me wrong, if I put The Wall on, it is likely to be played all the way through. However, I just find it more interesting to hear what Roger has to say about society in Animals.

I don't concentrate too much on flow unless it's intentional. I go on enjoyment and what is expressed, if it moves me then it recieves bonus points. The Wall didn't move me. Meddle, Animals and Moon were able to do so.

Gilmour has never done wrong, "guitar-solo" wise anyway :v: In terms of Roger's crazy ego stories, I prefer the one in his Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking. True awesomeness.
The opening riffs of In The Flesh are probably one of the most powerful things on The Wall to me I fucking love them
