Give his Pros and Cons a listen, you'll like it. Very "Wall"-esque.
I'll keep it in mind I have to head off to work in an hour and I need to get through listening to the rest of Animals so I don't think i'll have time today. :v:
It should be a crime not to listen to a Pink Floyd album in one shot.
It should be a crime not to listen to a Pink Floyd album in one shot.
I agree Except for some cases like progressions on an album Ie from Comfortably Numb to The Trial on The Wall I do that one a lot when I don't have enough time to listen to the whole 2 disc set
It should be a crime not to listen to a Pink Floyd album in one shot.
I must agree. It's got me in the mindset of listening to albums rather than songs, and I follow this quite well when listening to music. There are of course some exceptions, but typically I will listen to the whole album rather than just one song.
That's why I buy LPs, encourages me to listen to the entire album. :v: I do know a few people who like to "choose" their songs on a vinyl lp by placing it in the certain groove. That's just stupid in my opinion. :colbert:
I think the only album I don't listen to start-to-finish every time I listen to it is The Wall. And Wish You Were Here when I don't want to listen to 26 minutes of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. (which is rarely)
If I listen to the cow, I'm most likely to finish :smug:
I hate going out to school or work or whatever and having to pause in the middle of an album when I arrive, regardless of the artist.
Happens to me dozens of times, that's why I try to keep my last legs of the journey on switching tracks instead of album listens. :v:
When that happens I always contemplate just sitting on the bus longer because I don't want it to stop
Hell yeah. Found "The Wall" album while cleaning my room.
I realized I've never listened to The Dark Side of The Moon. Doing so now
Dark Side of the Moon is one of the best albums to be released
I agree with above post.
Dark Side of the Moon is one of the best albums to be released
Pink Floyd is one of the best bands to be released. :smugdog:

Alright. I got the cash now, what Floyd album should I go for? The ones I want currently are Ummagumma, Meddle, and A.H.M. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE ALBUM (cause I want a George Harrison album too :3:) which album should I get and why?

The cow album has the ability to do it also, but Meddle is more accessible :v:
Meddlemeddlemeddlemeddle. MEDDLE! :v:
Meddlemeddlemeddlemeddle. MEDDLE! :v:
I used to think it was pronounced "Medley" :v:
Fuck that, get Oh, By The Way. It's their best album to date. :smug:
I picked up TDSOTM and Wish You Were Here on CD for my car today. After listening through Dark Side 2 more times, I appreciate it a LOAD more than I did before. Wish You Were Here remains near the top.
Tried so hard to get into meddle this weekend, can't dig it Listened to it about six or seven times entirely. My liking for wish you were here continues to grow however
Interesting. I think its quite good actually. Or at least, an interesting take on it. Oh god, 6:46...Get into it

I don't know about you all guys, but I don't find Wish You Were Here to be all that good of an album... I mean, Shine On is one of the most supreme compositions I've ever heard, the title track itself is awesome...I just don't know, haven't gotten the feel of it...
Give it about a year for you to mature to the Floyd :smug: [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] You may even like the Cow and The Lapse of Reason albums :v:

That's an album I immediately connected to. Even more so than the brick album :psyboom: I personally prefer their early stuff.
