Personally I think Meddle is a severely underrated album. It's so amazing. Oh and I also love the Live in Pompei movie which hardly anyone I talk to seems to know about. Oh and I also own a '73 pressing of Dark Side of The Moon. And I've got Atom Heart Mother on vinyl.
Meddle isn't underrated at all, it's considered one of their finest early works
I'd probably consider it their finest work, period.

It's always eclipsed by Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall. My parents had The Wall on vinyl so I gave it a listen then went out the following day and bought Dark Side Of The Moon on CD. I got Meddle some weeks later Actually the only albums I still need to get are A Saucerful of Secrets, More, UmmaGumma and Obscured By Clouds
The first Pink Floyd album I listened to was Animals. I have no idea why, the reviews weren't blown out of proportion and it didn't seem to have songs I would've thought to become popular. Them being long and all. I guess the artwork got me there and Christgau's review :3: When I heard it, I bonded to that. It was a surreal experience the first time I had it on. I was travelling at the time. Its a superb double album that is very tough to gain meaning from.
Oh yeah I got a DSOM and The Wall t-shirt, and a calendar
Only PF related stuff I got was a DSoTM belt buckle. It is pretty sweet though, I'll admit.
Echoes is the most amazing song ever. That's the last song I would choose to hear before I die.
Echoes is the most amazing song ever. That's the last song I would choose to hear before I die.
As I was reading this, Echoes started playing on shuffle on my computer. Coincidence? :v:
I have yet to see their Live 8 reunion. Is it good?
I have yet to see their Live 8 reunion. Is it good?
It's great apart from Roger singing on Wish You Were Here.
It's great apart from Roger singing on Wish You Were Here.
I just about threw up dying of laughter when I saw that. Water's singing on most of Live 8 is pretty terrible. Gilmour on the other hand can somehow match his voice on the albums he sang on many years ago.
I have yet to see their Live 8 reunion. Is it good?
I have the DVD, I don't care about Rog's singing, it's a fucking masterpiece.
Wow, Why does Floyd music go with films?

[editline]29th December 2010[/editline] I mean... seriously!

Astronomy Domine, live on some television show in 1967. This shows the dynamics of Syd completely. Also added in the OP, come on, more Pink Floyd! Start posting videos that you love, or pictures or anything (or more of that Syd in a gymnasium with a naked female :smug:) just anything to keep this thread alive.
Add this to the OP: Careful With That Axe, Eugene (live at KQED News Station, San Franciso, 29/04/1970)

is it bad that i think the final cut is the best floyd album i've ever heard?
is it bad that i think the final cut is the best floyd album i've ever heard?
Not at all. I personally found The Final Cut to be a bit too "WAAAAAH I HATE THE WAR" but it had its good moments.
Not at all. I personally found The Final Cut to be a bit too "WAAAAAH I HATE THE WAR" but it had its good moments.
the actual song (the final cut) really hit home for me, said a lot of stuff which directly applied to me
The Final Cut has a lot of great songs on it. But there also are a few songs I really don't like and will skip over without a thought.
The Final Cut has a lot of great songs on it. But there also are a few songs I really don't like and will skip over without a thought.
I find Paranoid Eyes really boring. But then Not Now John is amazing
My album review of The Final Cut The Post War Dream - I really like this song Your Possible Pasts - This is another good one, the chorus is real nice, and of course solo One Of The Few - Kind of cool, but really too short to have an opinion on When The Tigers Broke Free - This one is of course good. It came from The Wall movie and the lyrics make it pretty interesting The Hero's Return - Freaking hate this song The Gunner's Dream - One of my favorites Paranoid Eyes - Kind of interesting, but at the same time a good bit boring, the music isn't that strong Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert - Too short to judge, but it isn't that great The Fletcher Memorial Home - This song is very cool Southampton Dock - Not really a great song, the whole humming thing pisses me off The Final Cut - Really good song Not Now John - Another one of my favorites, really good song. Gilmour brought a lot of it Two Suns In The Sunset - It's not bad, it's just forgettable This is of course my opinion it's perfectly alright if you're a big Hero's Return fan.
I found Two Suns in the Sunset Great, but im not keen on the final cut as an album in general, Honestly I prefer Gilmours stuff e.g Keep talking
