I'm in GMT, though when I usually stream stuff, I try to find a compromise time. How about 8PM GMT/4PM EST? (if I'm correct) [editline]asdfasdfasdf[/editline] on Saturday of course
Yes that's good
I hope to God I can make it. Usually the 'rents and I go out and fuck-around on Saturday for awhile, but I might just be more of a shut-in to watch the Wall. :3:

That was epic, especially Gilmour's solo over the Bee Gee's beat.
Listened to Wish You Were Here again. It's starting to find a place in my brain, and now I can finally agree that it is one hell of a fucking album Welcome to the Machine doesn't stick with me though :geno:
Welcome to the Machine doesn't stick with me though :geno:
Don't you like machine? :saddowns: I've made an obligation to myself to get an original copy of Saucerful of Secrets. Must be done :3:

Roger still has an awesome speaking voice :v:

I must get Saucerful. My store also has Obscured By Clouds... Not too expensive, but I need to spend wisely.
I watched VH1 Classic's "Classic Albums" about Dark Side. It was really, really interesting. Like all the obscure voices you ocassionally here on Dark Side? They were randoms from the studio and their building. Roger and the band went around and picked several people to speak, they sat them down in the studio, and gave them all notecards. Most were very basic questions like "What was the last meal you ate?" And then they got into the deeper questions like: "When was the last time you were violent?" After that came the question..."Were you in the right?" It was a pretty cool mini-doc on Dark Side.
There is no dark side of the moon. It's all dark, really
There is no dark side of the moon. It's all dark, really
They actually described that part too. The dude that uttered that line was an old guy nicknamed Roger "the Hat." Roger (Waters) lost the cards by now with the questions. So he went and personally asked "the Hat" the questions in the studio.
That's my favourite song off there What don't you like about it?
It's a truly exhilirating song... I don't think it's the pretentiousness since he likes the cow album. May be something else.
I just like how it starts off, all ominous and shit I like how the lyrics are sung, how they song, I like the single guitar chords and the lightening, the sustain of the keyboards or whatever it is going on in there. And the line, "welcome my son, welcome, to the machine"
"Have a cigar" is my favorite off Wish you were here
I have $30, enough for a floyd album CD. I have DSOTM, Wish you were here, and Division Bell. Thinking either Animals, or Meddle. Suggestions?
"Have a cigar" is my favorite off Wish you were here
A lot of people don't realize that Roy Harper, a person who is not apart of Pink Floyd, sang the vocals on that song. Gilmour didn't want to sing it and Waters had a strained voice. Waters later regretted it. I thought Waters sang it and just put a lot of effects on his voice to make him sound different.

In fact I always thought it was the best singing Waters had ever done until I learnt it wasn't Waters, which was just disappointing.
Hats off to Roy Harper.

That's my favourite song off there What don't you like about it?
It's like they tried to hard to make a fucking powerful song. Came out a bit dormant in my opinion.
