Underneath the oyster shell swims motionless around the sea And deep beneath the rolling waves In labyrinths of coral caves The echo of a distant tide Comes willowing across the sand And everything is green and submarine....

I dig it AK. Also, sweet Jesus, why did no one tell me how great the Division Bell is? My friend flashdrived it to me today at school.
Everyone talks about it. You must hear On An Island too.
agreed, it's definitely one of gilmour's top solo albums.
You must hear On An Island too.
He has to wait 5 years first.
He has to wait 5 years first.
Uh Why
On an Island is Gilmour's best solo album for sure. In fact even by itself its just a fucking amazing album, right up there in the standard of Pink Floyd stuff, just in a different way. Some of those songs could have just fit on a PF song. I hope he writes another one. Heard rumours his wife was writing some lyrics.

A few songs are pretty alright (What Do You Want From Me being one), but other than that I felt it lacked the general feel of Pink Floyd.

Like it had the feel of "We've been doing this for ages and we've got it down and now we're just gonna pump out some more of it yeah that sounds alright". I think they should have moved in new directions as opposed to trying to hit up the old Pink Floyd. Stuff like Marooned was fantastic.

I just dig the whole album, y'know? It just sounds so...clean. It sounds and just...feels good. I can't really describe it, but it is a great, great album.
Uh Why
Akayz did.
High Hopes is the best song because it was the last song on their last album, and the lyrics are fantastically written and could be taken as an allegory for their whole career Imo Division Bell's one problem was the lack of two vocalists All the best albums had a good balance between Waters and Gilmour and sometimes Wright, in this Wright got a full song but the rest was just Gilmour, they should have shared vocals on all songs Also Wearing the Inside Out is such a good song
Lost For Words is definitely the best track on DB.
I liked the country/folksy feel of the music, but tbh the lyrics made me cringe. I think that honor goes to High Hopes.
Did anyone else like this? :smith:
Its ok, bu needs more oyster related stuff than just the intro.
They haven't talked about oysters in any other interview. :smith:
Who ever said that it had to be any one of them talking about oysters?
True, I'd like to think oysters transend pink floyd having to say things about them.

I think I've got a title for the next thread :v:
Comfortably Numb was on the radio today And not the 3 minute single version The full 7 minute one :pcgaming: Local radio stations are best radio stations
Comfortably Numb was on the radio today And not the 3 minute single version The full 7 minute one :pcgaming: Local radio stations are best radio stations
But ofcourse. Radio Rock here in Finland have played a few of Dream Theater's songs, like the 12-minute The Shattered Fortress, The Mirror and The Glass Prison. And I heard my first Pink Floyd song from there. Money. Later I heard Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2 too.
I'm listening to Animals, it's so great. Why haven't I listened to this before? :aaa:
