For the intro to Sorrow, Gilmour played and recorded it in the studio. Then they played that recording in an empty stadium in Los Angeles and recorded it again to try and capture that big, reverby sound. But I think it sounds terrible, imo.
Not terrible, sounds a bit too melancholy to me, not nearly his best, but still not terrible.
Also Signs of Life was a bit too.. how can I say this... "TOUGH PLUCKED" sounding for it to be worthy. But it's still quite nice.
I think his guitar playing was allowed to roam too much and that's all. The tone on Sorrow was fine to me, just different. On the Division Bell and MLoR there were just solos everyfuckinwhere, one of the advantages of having Roger was that he was generous with solos but not like "Solo's errywhere"
On An Island was a spectacular return to form.

Even Gilmour himself was like there's bloody fucking solos all over the record.
Divison Bell was like "ineed some muysic to put around these guiarre solos"
Bluday, fackin gitah saolows
WHATH
Also, as much as I like a good guitar solo, this clip speaks loads of truth about them

I still think of it as a fully fledged Floyd album

I agree, just a bit more (ok, a lot more) different from the others.
Gilmour era albums rule!
Mour Gills please.
The album after The Division Bell would have been even better. It's a shame they parted, after listening to their discography in order I was disappointed yet relieved of the ending of TDB. It was indeed a shame I would never hear any different material of the band working together, but at the same time I was glad that Pink Floyd managed to put out a great album instead of ending with a half assed effort.

It's an M82 used on CoD. 50cal is the cartridge used in the said weapon.
Oh well okay. Not a gun person.
In fact haven't played any COD since WAW, if that improves my image any

Guns are not important
in fact Pink Floyd would say that we should just ban the guns and bring the boys back home no matter what the gunner's dream may be
Well the guys at Ganchester Meadows are a bunch of assholes who only talk about their guns all the time.
Really gets tiring and boring after some Time.
