Naa, there's some Miles Davis in the one I go to :v:
Apparantly the guy running it has about 10'000 records in stock. :psyduck:
Running the store for about 30 or more years.
Do you happen to live in the Isle of Wight

No Sir, I'm in London :v:

If you ever go to the Isle of Wight, visit the Victoria Arcade.
There you will find this:

And there was about 12 rooms like this.
No sections AT ALL??
At least divide them into genres... :damn:

Then again... that does look like thousands to sort through :v:
How does the guy decide how much to sell it for if it isn't sorted through?
The owner's more or less alphabetised the ones on the shelves at least.
If I lived nearer (read: in the same town) I would go and help him sort them all out.
He actually told me there's something along the lines of 100,000 in the entire shop
Takes ages to dig through random shelves.. Unless I have time to spare, I will only flick through each shelf and anything that catches my eye I will nab.
There's also a ton of boxes out front that he's selling at £1 each simply to get rid of it.
There was some Collins-era Genesis in there that I saw and would have bought if I liked it at the time. I really wanna go back there :smith:

There were a few Genesis albums, but they were the later ones.
If you saw a page back, I found Trick of the Tail and nabbed it for £2 :v:
Why does every record store have a ton of Elvis records. Hardly any of them will sell.
My God, I love obscure music stores like that. They always have motherloads of vinyl. :3: Shame there aren't any where I live.
Though, at a record sale recently, I managed to pick up Tales from Topographic Oceans by Yes, Trans-Europe Express by Kraftwerk and Meddle by Pink Floyd on vinyl for £6 :buddy:

I'm not too bothered. I'll catch it on DVD if I can't see it live (obviously it isn't going to be the same), I've seen a few youtube clips of the show. Looks awesome and theatrical, very nice use of screens.

Yeah, the concert was like watching a broadway musical, movie, and rock show at the same time.
Picked up Obscured By Clouds and Ummagumma (only £9!) today

Those both were in my record store! So it must be you taking all stuff that I want :smug:
I got them on CD
I got them on CD
Ah, I should've thought. I remembered Ummagumma was like £10-£20 and Obscured was £15-£20 :3:
There is actually a copy of Ummagumma in my local record shop but it's the quadrophonic version so it's £40
Pff, quadrophonic...
I've never seen one turntable compatible with quadrophonic recordings, probably don't even sound as good as stereo.
It was experimental technology, and the fact it never caught on quite like surround sound did in the early 2000s kind of suggests it wasn't that great

When utilized, surround sound music can be a fantastic experience. The only people in the world to have made music where it can actually change the feeling of the environment around you, are the japanese.
