did you really think I didn't know any other psych rock bands other than pf
Not really, but I don't really know your taste all that well. :smug:

in other words, last fm account needs to be got.
not saying they never did drugs, but they deny using drugs to influence their songwriting

Have they themselves not listened to Ummagumma or Atom Heart Mother? :raise:

This automatically means it is true

Fair enough.

or drinking
Nothing beats weed and prog
Nothing beats weed and music of any kind

Even if it's not the fact that they deny it should be implication enough that they don't consider their music drug music or music written as a result of drug use
I don't have anything against drug use and I would agree that barrett era was definitely LSD to the max but later stuff I would not consider it drug music
The Wall and beyond is not psych music at all..
Division Bell comes so close but it still is more pop rock than psych.
The Division Bell is the least psych I can think of.
The Division Bell is the least psych I can think of.
Momentary Lapse is nought% psychedelic.
Division Bell is kind of space rock so I guess it does put you in somewhat a trance.
wish you were here is psych as fuck
I hope

It is, but not moreso than Animals and Saucerful of Secrets imo. What dyou think?
songs like Welcome To The Machine
Have A Cigar ain't very psych.
I didn't actually think the first album was "the most psych" that they've been either. Barrett was actually sane when he was in control of that album. His solo work however.... that's another thing :smugdog:

I know a Bike that would beg to disagree with you
Giving the statues another listen. Really nice to see how Gilmour's voice has developed over the decades. To be honest he sounds younger here than his 70's stuff
Gilmour sounds like he's fucking 20 on the bell if you ask me...
Particularly on "Coming Back To Life", it sounds like they hired a 17 year old. On "Wish You Were Here he sounds 50
Question for all you fellow PF fans.
So I have three favorite bands:
1. Kraftwerk
1. Pink Floyd
3. The Beatles (obligatory)
Pink Floyd and Kraftwerk are very much tied. And that's pretty much all I actively listen to a lot. Does anyone else love Kraftwerk as much as I do? I'm just interested if it's the same mindset.
Of course, it might just be nostalgia- Kraftwerk was the first band I ever called my favorite.
Echoes = most psych song they made
I'm not even going to argue that one with anyone because nothing will ever beat my multiple experiences listening to that song specifically.
My multiple experiences listening to that song on vinyl does.

Kraftwerk got me into electronic music. They're fucking amazing, and I love them almost as much as Floyd. My favourite album is The Man-Machine. :3:

They're sort of like the Floyd of electronic music, if you think about it, the drama, the split, the secrecy, etc.
