You listened to it for the first time? :froggonk:
WHere you been bro?
Under a rock listening to Meddle and The Wall instead. :smug:
I think I've actually listened to Meddle all the way through more than DSOTM.
Animals is my most listened.
Least listened is Obscured by Clouds.
Most: Meddle
Least: Atom Heart Mother
I give Summer '68 and Fat Old Sun regular listens, however.
Did they release any early live stuff?
As in during the time of Ummagumma?
Apart from bootlegs and Ummagumma, we haven't got much to hear.
:argh:
whyyyyy!!
I had a dream last night where I was at some concert. I don't remember who was playing, but after it was over, circa 1970s Pink Floyd came out to talk and sign autographs. I was standing away from the huge crowd that was surrounded around them. I could get a really good look at them. At one point in time, they all looked at me and I was really nervous. They eventually came closer to me to start signing autographs. I didn't have anything for them to sign though. I just stood there and listened to Roger Waters talk to people because I love the sound of his normal talking voice.
Somewhere earlier in the dream, I remember having to break this glass case that had a Roger Waters action figure inside it, complete with a small bass guitar. The glass was really hard to break as I recall. I have no clue what triggered these dreams, but they were awesome.

I wanted to get the action figure signed, but I didn't have it with me at that part of the dream.
I've had a dream once where I was actually David Gilmour playing in some stadium in a 1994 Division Bell Tour-like concert. I think it was after I watched a PULSE video before going to sleep. :v:
Fuck me and my uncle listened to The Wall, the entire goddamn album, up on full blastin volume in my summerhouse!
IT WAS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL.
Got The Division Bell, only had a chance to listen to the first two songs
Was hanging out with the brother in law and found out he had the Echoes 2CD compilation. We threw that shit on and it was friggin' ace. :3:

Yeah, he paid her afterwards, turned out it was Easy Money.
Pity she lied about having an STD. One might call it the Deception of the Thrush :v:
Ahh... Young Lust.

So anyway, listening to The Division Bell, and not very impressed to be honest.
Richard Wright is doing a much better job singing than Gilmour did.
Also, ALL the damn songs just fade out.
It just doesn't run together like earlier albums.
As for voices, I just don't know, there was something about Wright's performance on that one song that seemed good.
Meh.
Oh well. One step closer to having all their CDs, then I'll be able to get rid of Echoes: The Best Of. God I hate compilation albums.

I used to hate them a lot because they lacked intent, but I like them a bit more now.

You're right about that, it is a bad album. That's what people don't realise, but the reason we enjoy it is that "space rock/ambient" feel it has. Gilmour isn't really "singing", but more adding to the atmosphere.
But in reality, the only critically good tracks are Wright's and Marooned.
And High Hopes. But that's pretty much it.
