Division Bell was superb from start to finish and Marooned is one of the best tracks on there
It is a great experience, but critically speaking I can't say it's great. Was the "message" or "expression" really there as it was on records like Animals or Moon? They could say it is a communication themed album but I didn't feel it within that record. On Animals it was really obvious that the theme was about communism, on Moon it was clearly about insanity. I guess the really good Floyd albums centred around an intent, but I couldn't say Wall was as creative as some suggest. Sorry for the blasphemy. :(

What's more important? People suffering or a crummy brick wall that you easily just fly over... heck you can even catapult yourself over and easily defeat it. Not a challenge at all

Not a challenge at all
Maybe for personal walls, but Roger also did make a statement about societal walls, which he made much more clear in his current tour. So the album is also about general populations suffering.
He's a hypocrite, he says he hates walls but secretly he loves them. Why else would he go on about it so much. :frogbon:
Especially the one between him and Gilmour.
No wall between him and Gilmour at all, it's all a lie.
Haha, former wall I suppose. [editline]5th July 2011[/editline] Let's finish this thread now. :v: Just you and me Ak'z.
If I'm just a brick in a wall, how come I have freedom? See, makes no sense. No cement at all. :smug:
What are you talking about? It all makes perfect sense Expressed in dollars and cents, Pounds, shillings and pence Can't you see It all makes perfect sense
What are you talking about? That actually makes perfect sense. (as you just pointed out)
That's very creative for an album.
If I said Roger's solo work was better in creativity than Gilmour's Floyd, would people hate me? :( In reality, he did manage to get Eric Clapton AND Jeff Beck to play on records of his.
Jeff Beck would have replaced Syd Barrett instead of Gilmour, except Roger and the rest didn't have the balls to ask him to join. And Gilmour admires Jeff Beck a lot, too. He has a wonderful playing style where he kinda just softly coaxes the notes out of the guitar.
Well those two are actually good friends... not surprised. They should collab and release an album. :smug:
I wish Gilmour and Clapton would collab. :psyboom: Or maybe all three of them. With Roger helping write songs. And Mason should provide drumming duties. Definitely not Pink Floyd. :ninja:
Likeliness is very high imo. :smug:

I don't know if Rick would want it, but maybe they could look through some demos he might've left behind.
He was actually working on an album before he passed. Why aren't these being salvaged?
Damn, imagine a Floyd album released posthumously from Rick. With Rick's material and input from beyond the grave.
I think that would be the thing I'd be waiting for...
I've listened to these albums in this order Wish You Were Here Meddle Dark Side Of The Moon The Wall And I listened to a compilation album which had assorted songs. What album should I listen to next [editline]5th July 2011[/editline] $50 Akayz will suggest Animals
You can check out one of their non-concept oriented albums such as Meddle just as a break before you move into something like Animals.
If I ever have a son I'm going to run outta town so I don't have to raise him he will be called aronius though [editline]5th July 2011[/editline]
You can check out one of their non-concept oriented albums such as Meddle just as a break before you move into something like Animals.
I forgot to mention Meddle
Piper at the Gates of Dawn, perhaps? Or maybe Obscured by Clouds.
Which is the most "psychedelic" out of the two
Piper.
