Clannad is actually a pretty good game
art isn't that good but more than makes up for it with the music/story

Maybe if it was a musical novel then it would be fine, but we are talking about a VISUAL novel. I would rather have the novel without the visual here.
Key aren't really known for having good art in their VNs but they more than make up for it in story and music and such.
I personally don't mind the art tho, especially not in the anime.
