Morning/Afternoon! Woke up naturally and it felt a lot better than by alarm.
Gonna take my dad out to lunch since he's acting normal, since I haven't for his birthday at all yet. Today may also work on my site some more, since I really need to build up my portfolio.
This whole "you had no childhood if you've never seen Star Wars/LotR/etc." way of thinking is so unbelievably stupid and enforcing this belief makes you a gigantic asshole.
I used to think that not having seen Star Wars at least once wasn't possible unless you had a boring childhood, and I would sometimes even get upset (jokingly, but still) at people I met who hadn't seen any of them. Then I was met with the same reaction when I said I hadn't seen a single Harry Potter, and I realized something. Not everyone has had the time, opportunity or motivation to watch these movies. I recently heard about a friend who'd been to the cinema with a friend and casually mentioned that she hadn't seen Star Wars, and a grown man next to her got legitimately angry and lectured her on what she was missing out on and how much she'd fucked up.
There are movies that are, of course, common knowledge in a sense, but this idea that you are somehow required to have watched certain movies is so childish. It's such a stupid thing to care about.
Oh god, these ASFR people are freaks.
I decided to take a look myself. Oh this thing is a future F+ podcast episode in the making.
decided to google ASFR cause I had no idea what it was.

I enforce it as a joke, although I don't do it anymore to my boss after I felt I had tired it out. I don't do it to be nasty, I do it to try and get them to laugh, and if it fails then I back off.

Ken Johnson 3 months ago (edited)
David Bowie and Freddy Mercury are both beautiful men... and I'm a straight guy. Any guy who says he can't tell if a man is beautiful and calls himself straight is a liar.... Just because I am sexually attracted to women doesn't mean that I can't tell when a man is incredibly talented and attractive. Love this song, and this video... RIP, Freddy, and keep making beautiful music, David.•

I must fall under a completely different definition because these people are straight up nuts.
Motherfuckers talking about hypnosis and mind control and Borg assimilation, and here I am staring deep into their uncanny valley. It's awful. :frown:
So, today I went cycling because I had the english lesson. Everything is fine until the lesson finished. It started to rain so much that you could hear the rain from inside. Everyone had to call someone in order to get them except me. I was with the bicycle. So I started cycling through the rainy streets. God will remember how many times I sweared to him. Now I'm a moving Ice block, waiting to melt
I doubt it. A draft hasn't happened in a very long time.
A draft wouldn't happen unless a major war or another world war rolled around.

Yeah. And as far as ISIS is concerned, the world is pretty united in their hatred of them.
i can’t help but laugh when i see emo/goth people wearing stuff like christian/greek symbols as if they’re edgy or potentially offensive.
st. peters cross (the upside down kind) is a christian symbol of humility and unworthiness specifically in comparison to jesus h christ himself.
and 5 pointed stars have very little to do with satanism outside hollywood, it’s the theistic che guevara t-shirt at this point.
My grandma keeps thinking that I'm gonna get drafted with all this ISIS shit going on
tell her ISIS is effectively powerless outside relatively small terrorist attacks and has 0 chance of starting a war that will last longer than a week.
also tell her boko haram is 20x as deadly as ISIS and probably 5x as organized yet still probably won't make it past saudi arabia from west africa.
also tell her the most likely victims of any isis/boko haram attack is going to be moderate muslims in south/eastern european countries, the middle east, africa, and maybe south asia.
Yeah. And as far as ISIS is concerned, the world is pretty united in their hatred of them.
Its sad that it takes a terrorist organization to actually unite world powers.

i want this watch so badly
Fuck 13 minutes before I can go home
This floor is cold and my jeans aren't doing anything to keep my ass warm
Yeah. And as far as ISIS is concerned, the world is pretty united in their hatred of them.
the weird thing about this is if ISIS did gain any sort of traction, this would be a great opportunity for america and russia's relationship to be improved in wiping out a terrorist organization!
