Who the fuck cares about a story in fallout all I care about is the option to tell a robot to fuck off and it recognizes me as american for that
Oh, I dunno, I just like to enjoy a game for more than one reason. You know what I mean?
I'm the Shovel Knight now.
Wow have fun in Goldshire nerd.
honestly the main quest wasnt bad
I'll clarify, the gameplay is nice, playing through the quests is nice, but the plot itself still feels shallow. It reminds me of Skyrim. You become very important way too fast.
The next Fallout, if made by Bethesda or Obsidian, seriously needs to just have the player character be someone who isn't already established in the game. Just a random stranger, a new face with a simple task that leads to you encountering a mysterious new world full of wonder, fear, and high adventure. Not you playing as a soldier who is married to a lawyer/vice versa while your great-great-grandpappy fought during D-Day and you must find Shaun, your son, Shaun! Where is Shaun? Have you seen Shaun?? SHAUN!
i agree and it's a shame because i honestly really liked everything else in the plot but tbh, and i'm sure very few people will think i'm being serious here, what really annoyed me wasn't so much that you play as an established character (you do to some extent in 3 as well and i didn't mind) but that they force you to have a wife and child i don't really like to play rpgs as myself or anything but i do like playing them the way i want to and being forced into a marriage and having a kid just immediately made me feel distanced from my character for a big chunk of the game
I had a really weird dream last night that I want to share. So this is where it started, from my perspective. A room with a 10 foot ledge from another room on the left side, and a dead guy on the ground in front of me. Apparently it was an "assisted suicide clinic" that had been in our house the entire time that I had just not noticed. The doctor would instruct the patients to just fall off the ledge and onto the ground below and it would be an instantaneous death. He would then take the stairs down, collect the body, and bring it somewhere unknown. There was a long line. I had to watch like 5 people die, because I couldn't leave. I didn't want to be rude and walk across the room. There was a guy who fell and didn't die. So when the doctor came down the stairs, he snapped the guy's neck. But the dude still didn't die. I had read about how people who had survived jumping off the Golden Gate bridge said that they regretted their jump immediately. The guy just smiled and said "well looks like you gotta drop me again doc" like it was no big deal that he just destroyed his body and lived through it. So the doctor took him up the stairs, and dropped him again, and he still didn't die. So I finally left, and went up to ask my mom why I had never noticed the fuckin assisted suicide execution chamber inside our house. All she said was "everyone has a right to die". It was... an interesting dream.

Main quest is pretty laughable, but the game has a quest where [sp]I get drafted into the congressional army and I help robuts fly off in an old frigate and land on top of a tower.[/sp] The game has some pretty good moments.
"Hi, im calling to ask you guys something. I've asked to be placed on the do-not-call list, and im st-" and then she fucking hung up on me, mid fucking word. If they call back im asking for a manager and starting shit up. Fuck these telemarketers, they can get cancer tbqh.

the thing about fallout 4 is that it's pretty much just more fallout 3 to some people that's bad but to someone like me it's almost exactly what i wanted
the thing about fallout 4 is that it's pretty much just more fallout 3
Er, as someone who disliked Fallout 3 and really enjoys Fallout 4, I gotta say the best thing about the game is that it's not more Fallout 3.
the thing about fallout 4 is that it's pretty much just more fallout 3 to some people that's bad but to someone like me it's almost exactly what i wanted
yeah its just that instead of go look for your father, its go look for your son
ofc soon as i get back on the computer none of my friends want to play gta and go to play counterstrike when i've been wanting to play with them all fucking day in gta.
Getting drunk alone before a plane flight: my autobiography.
Fallout 5 will be 'go look for your pet goldfish.'
Fallout 5 you will look for the game store to get ur refund :^)
Er, as someone who disliked Fallout 3 and really enjoys Fallout 4, I gotta say the best thing about the game is that it's not more Fallout 3.
huh, interesting i guess that's just how it feels to me and the people i've talked to about it i mean i definitely was not talking about stuff like combat where 4 blows 3 out of the water and then some more that, to me, 4 feels like a very natural progression from 3 if you asked me in 2009 what i would've wanted out of the next game it probably would've been a very similar answer to what we got to some people that's a disappointment but to me i'm more than happy
Wow I didn't mean for my last post to sound all bummer. Like I'm just chilling in my apartment listening to music waiting like an hour before I have to leave. It's more of a fun thing. Besides all my friends are either already back home or are busy packing right now so it's not like I have no friends. :v:
I mean the setting and story progression is very similar to 3 [editline]24th November 2015[/editline] Compared to NV especially
also I have like super nice beer here so I don't want to share it with anyone.
i'm also probably just super easy to please
Whatever comes after FO4, hopefully its back out west.
In other news, I found out I have access to a database of like ultra high resolution photos of art pieces in like all major galleries, which is like the second worse thing I learned through my library. The first was that I have access to a huge selection of avant garde music. I swear once you find something you like research becomes a fun time sink rather than a monotonous task.
Whatever comes after FO4, hopefully its back out west.
i really wish the Bethesda-made numbered entry with a followup by Obsidian would be an official thing that way everyone is happy and i don't have to hear people going on and on about how they wish obsidian made 4
Have Obsidian do TESVI. [editline]24th November 2015[/editline] Actually, I'd rather beth still make TES.
Bethesda making a game in the west would be stupid.
Does fallout 4 still have those big flies? This is like a serious question because my phobia of flies made me unable to play the 3d fallout games. I'll just wait for modding support to flourish if it still does instead of picking it up over the holiday season.
