Raced another cross country race today; placed 5th outta 31 in my class! Not bad for my 3rd race ever.!
Here's my bike before the race and my plaque

Ive put my bike on my bed truck and attached it with bender strap, but like a dumbass i have not noticed the extra lenght that is still along the truck, moved the truck backward for a few meter then strap got stuck under the truck wheel, breaking my cb antenna, destroying the bender, bending the motorcycle kickstand and truck body a bit and possibly bended bike frame
FUCK
Well at least it didnt happend when i was going over 110kph.

damn, you must have had some really good straps.
I got a call at work today from the guy I bought my carbs from. He told me some good info on them and how to idle sync and slide sync them. Nice guy.

If it did then there would have been serious damage before it break.

I've had this happen before; it was quite gnarly.
Everything is ready for me to start riding again. I got a new battery, the bike's insured, I picked up my plate yesterday, but I can't get anyone to drive me up to get the bike out of storage. Fucking frustrating!
Tomorrow is supposed to pop up to 75F, so I think I'm gonna prep the bike tonight and prepare for a full day of adventuring tomorrow.
Well, my big blubbering bike now runs like a top and has enough torque to do small wheelies.
Well, I got my mom to drive me up to get the bike today, put the battery in and the exhaust on. The ignition didn't come on the first couple of tries with the key, checked the fuse, it was good. Tried to kick it, nothing. After a couple more times fliping the ignition on and off, it fires up with the familiar wirring of the fuel injector. Fired right up too. Rides just like new now, guess I just killed the battery by running the starter too many times last summer. Now comes a new problem though:
I've lost the fucking license plate.
What do you ride?
A 2007 Yamaha YBR 125.

Is it very nimble?
Might as well re-post my bikes:
2011 CT-110, sold it last week
[t]http://puu.sh/gg2zx/a5692cd11e.jpg[/t]
2007 VTR-250, bought, crashed breaking both wrists.
I fixed the odometer and front fork, but i couldn't find two scaphoid bones on E-bay, unfortunately can't ride it - riding in two hand-casts is not a good look at all.

Saving for: Royal Enfield Classic C5 Chrome, will probably have after tax-return season
Is it very nimble?
Yup. I'd trade it for some proper torque or power in a heartbeat though. Now that I've put on some weight it strugles to get up to 80km/h. I really want to get a big bike, like a 500 or something. There's a couple CB500 for sale that aren't priced too badly, but I'd need to upgrade my license, which is really expensive.
Got the Triple out and have been tearing up the Tennessee twisties. I live for the riding season.

I'm thinking about slapping some dirt tires on my cmx250. I did quite a bit of dirt riding with it last year, and it was grand fun to take a bike and use it in a manner not-designed-for.
Or maybe I'll just buy a dirtbike... Or two or three used ones.

Just buy another bike; one can never have enough

I've been eyeballing an '87 suzuki 305ltd, it looks like it's mint and the owner's asking $500; I might just have to stop and talk to them today.

One of these tricked out would be wicked for flat-tracking.
Speaking of which, I went to order some parts and ended up talking with the honda parts spec.. and found out the local dirt-track/speedway allows people to show up and use the track whenever there's not an event going on.. in other words, most of the year. No more loose sand getting stuck in brake-parts and chains.. now I can ride on some dirt! Real stoked to learn that.
Oh, related to nuts 'n bolts, took an hour and a half and cleaned the front & rear brake assemblies. It's wonderful to do something and not have to look in a damn manual.
I wish there was a track around where I live
decided I needed to ride. so I did....

left at 4am returned at 10pm.
Nice bikes here that I am seeing, say I have a 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 A2 that needs a little work what would be the sell price on it, I am thinking about getting a trade for it or just fixing it up and riding again.

Cool shit man.
I gotta say I could never do that in any of my vehicles. Too much has gone wrong on my bikes and cars that I try to limit the distance to a couple hundred miles around someone who can pick me up.

I wanted to try the saddle sore 1000. I will probably not do it again. No cruise control on a midsize adventure bike. At mile 730 I hit the brick wall so to say. I couldnt put my legs on the pegs, It felt like they couldn't bend, I couldn't leave the down because my boots dragged around corners. I put the passenger legs down and put my mid shins on them and leaned forward against the tank bag.
I started here in southern wv, rode down the Johnson city to Knoxville to Birmingham AL to Nashville and to bowling green before cutting across to Pikeville then back home.
My legs were swollen and my right wrist, I could not even open a bottle of water then next day. It just hurt
Just bought this for 400
Sent the cylinder off to be sleeved,
But this bike is getting
new tires
new chain/sprockets
new wiseco top end
Reupholstering the seat blue with blue graphics
new fork seals.
I'll have about 950 in it when its done and these bikes in mint condition on clist go for around 1800 here.
So I've got an '81 Honda cb750 custom (I posted about it once before). It's my first bike, and I'm fairly new at working on it (but I replaced the pull throttle cable on my own, so woo)
I just changed the oil and filter, and I definitely notice a slight change, but it still feels 'off'. I'm fairly certain that I need to get the carbs cleaned. The problem is that there is no way in hell I can afford ~$120 for parts (total), and $200 in labor... per carb. I have the maintenance manual for the book, and it goes through how to clean the carbs, in pretty good detail, but the intricacy of the carbs, as well as the fact that this is my only vehicle, keeps me from doing it on my own.
So my question is, do I just find some other place to do it, or bite the bullet and spend a whole day cleaning them on my own?

the hardest part about cleaning them on your own will be taking them off and putting them back on. But with a can or two of disc brake cleaner its a fairly simple process. I don't even reset them usually when I clean the ones on my xs650. I usually just make sure all the ports are flowing and put it back on.
Is it hard to drive a passenger around on a 50cc moped? I've never done it before but i might have to tonight
Long time no post. FP is a mess these days, so annoying to navigate and i don't want to see all that gay shit in general discussion when looking for this thread. I only pretty much visit 2 threads (this one being the other) :/
Anyway R1 is still functioning gggggreat, and it's even starting to look like proper riding weathers finally! Got some new tyres yesterday and life is pretty okay.

if so they are simple to work with. hardest part is syncing them.
