I thought you had to take apart each carb to efficiently clean it, and that's when they're complicated. And I have no idea how to sync them.
What is it doing?
I thought you had to take apart each carb to efficiently clean it, and that's when they're complicated. And I have no idea how to sync them.
I'm thinking about getting a gas scooter/moped but worried about driving in snow
maybe 500-1500, might get it, might not, really just hard thinking about it over a car
and also mounting a phone for gps on it

If it snow's in your area and you will be in need of a vehicle during those times, I don't think I'd recommend a scooter lol.

yeah that's the sad thing
only bad during the winter but it isn't always crazy out, people seem to even ride bikes fine enough and once the roads are salted and plowed it's 'safe'
I really want one but the snow would make it dangerously stupid to drive, not because of the scooter but because people are mentally ill

not gonna embed.
hit a piece of hard plastic on the road while I was on the front brakes and locked the wheel. not much damage to me or the bike, frame sliders are a godsend.

damn that sucks...
i would have the same reaction.
I've been looking for a liter bike for a while now. I was really into CBRs and S1000RRs until I walked into my local dealership. They had an '09 ZX10R which I could test ride. The color was meh, but I figured I could change it (fan of matte black/white). After giving it a test ride I fell in love and ended up trading my GSXR 600 and some cash for it. When riding to my buddy's, little to my knowledge, the road was freshly paved and redone with lots of loose gravel, oil, and all that goodness. Going into a 15-20mph turn, it slips from under me and boom, it scrapes the ground. I had full leathers on so no damage was done to me luckily, but damn, talk about a shitty way of making me confident with my bike lol.
The tank was scraped along with the fairings-- all of that was fine, except my side mirror broke (gonna' have to invest in some cheap bar ends), and the rear brake + peg snapped off so it's just dangling. I'm taking it to the shop to see what could be done with it.
I was thinking of painting it a pearl white (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93mm58WvjLM), however, I don't know how much that will be. Hopefully fixing the rear brake won't be too hard, the metal just has to be welded perhaps. Here are pictures!
The fresh road:

Put some new brake pads on my bike today. Next is an oil change, in a couple hundred miles.
I'm just waiting on someone with no moral objections to slavery and a lot of cash to buy me with the 2015 Ducatti Scrambler:

It's... too sexy a bike to exist.
Bought a 1970 Kaptein Mobylette yesterday, I'm going to patch it up, it will look somewhat like this:

underbones are neat. they're like a less cancerous hybrid of a moped and a scooter. I like it, it's classy as shit.
While I was at the beach with my friends, my dad washed my bike. He's a cock most of the time but sometimes he does nice things.
... You guys know there's already a bikers thread, right?

We all moved to this one.
offtopic and stuff but
OP, my friend had a dirt Yamaha like the one you have there. That thing was awesome!
Thought I'd pop in and let y'all know..
Since I drive school busses, summer is a fantastic time for riding as long as I don't have to stop & fix shit. I didn't have to stop & fix shit at all the last two weeks, meaning I put on 1850 miles in 13 days. Just got back last night.. I don't know how to upload photos, so I'll just post a link to my instagram - the more recent ones are from my trip. Left Bismarck, went up to Leeds&DL, over to Fargo/Moorhead, over to Minn. and back.. just kinda wandering around, visiting friends, went to a derby & car show as well as viewing many many custom bikes. It was a rad time. https://instagram.com/violatedbyalizard/
I maintain my instagram if anyone wants to follow/follow; facepunch's motorcyclist community isn't what it should be!
EDIT: Oh, and I'm off to go grab my suzuki shit from my storage unit, giving myself 6 days + today to hammer this bike out with a new paint job 'n shit. Those photos will also be on IG if I remember to take them. AND ALSO ALSO ALSO Also I guess if anyone needs advice on bike maintenance, part fabrication, etc etc you can hit me up too but I'm not on facepunch as much as a few years ago. Wouldn't mind passing a little bit of the knowledge i've accumulated on.
DBLEDIT: PLUS I finished the little Rebel I started last year, and it's now fully flat-trackable :)
So to bring this thread back from the dead, here is what I've been up to:

It's rideable(case was glued together) but needs a RT Case, I should have it fixed in a few weeks and I plan on flipping it.
