He said funny, not very funny.
But I agree with him.
so I suppose you guys don't find Seinfeld funny either
I hate the way Morishima mixes in english when she speaks. Makes her fuggen annoying.
so I suppose you guys don't find Seinfeld funny either
Seinfield is hardly ever funny really.
And oh God the standup jokes are horrible.

comparing one sitcom to another
what is the problem
comparing one sitcom to another
what is the problem
the humor in both is extremely different to one another.
i find both to be entertaining to a certain level but i don't find either of them to be funny at all.
comparing one sitcom to another
what is the problem
One sitcom =/= all sitcoms.
hayate no gotoku
Dropped it afte 16 eps ages ago, don't remember why.

But that's right before it gets good.
After 17-19 episodes it catches up and becomes actually funny.
Other people find it to be reversed though. So either you'll like it more or like it less causing you to either know for sure or have no idea in hell why you dropped it.

Well I read the manga about 100 chapters before starting to watch it so, it may have used the manga's jokes or something.

Well that's fully possible.

He's saying there's no such thing as slice of life anime.
Which is stupid.
And there are plenty of good slice of life shows.
Hey should i get the Clannad Visual novel for PC?
Hey should i get the Clannad Visual novel for PC?
I read that.
It is good.
What the hell? Where did my post go?
I still stand by NHK as a slice of life
:colbert:
everything that happens in that show are realistic happenings
What the hell? Where did my post go?
right there
One sitcom =/= all sitcoms.
I wasn't comparing one to ALL of them
[editline]08:28PM[/editline]
NHK was awesome
last show I watched on crunchyroll
I'm ashamed to even admit that
What the hell? Where did my post go?

Hey should i get the Clannad Visual novel for PC?
Nah I think it's better on Amiga 1200
I still stand by NHK as a slice of life

It is.
It depicts the life of a loser otaku shut-in quite realistically. Showing his daily life and shit.
I think that should be enough to classify it as slice of life.

anyone who says NHK is not Slice of Life is crazy
and/or hating to admit that it is basically THEIR life story w/out the hot girl helping them
What the hell? Where did my post go?
Found it, had a tab in the creationism corner up.
...
I also managed to not correctly copy it.
Oh well.
Watched the first 4 episodes of Amagami SS (first arc).
Eeeeehhhh....
Forced and tame love, progresses too fast and still drags some scenes out, the bitch is quite dumb in reality and kills any form of mood with her random outburst of english words with a horrible pitch to them, jumps back and forth between realistic behaviours and unrealistic never-going-to-happen behaviours. I laughed at several scenes that were probably meant to be serious, this could easily be a light version of B Gata K Hei, just add in a narrator that comments the situation and you're good to go.
So so far it's a 7/10 - it kinda works and it kinda doesn't.
For a romance show it really lacks the feelings of romance, it just has it, like a digital photography has pixels. But it doesn't help to have yo pixels if they're not combined into something attractive to watch.
[editline]10:34PM[/editline]
wait what

The reason I asked where it was was because it didn't show up. For now stated reasons.
[editline]10:37PM[/editline]

You could easily do that without being slice of life.
Most comedy shows actually do that, just without centering around the character.
And it's not really depicting the life of a loser otaku. It's depicting how and why one becomes a loser otaku. He doesn't know jack shit about anything, but learns about it and gets addicted to it. He becomes a loser otaku.
But it is slice of life, the only somewhat unrealistic thing with it beyond needed exaggerated characters and coincidental happenings is his NHK illusions, but it's not like it's not possible, so as thus it's not truly unrealistical, just very unlikely to happen in such a situation he is in.
