I don't know Japanese, but maybe if some facepunchers who want to help get a Season 2, we could work something out as a team.
So I just finished Sword Art Online, which, apart from a couple of things, pretty much ticked all of my boxes when it comes to an awesome show.
The romance, while this is mostly just my indifference to disdain for romance, got a bit tumorous halfway through the first half, but that was mainly due to me preferring the MMOness of everything else. In the second half it was tolerable for me.
I also kind of would have preferred it if the first half had been drawn out to fill the whole anime, but that was just me loving the setting too much.
I kind of wish it had spent more time being an MMO, but it was otherwise excellent, and I'd highly recommend it.
Anyone know anything kind of like it? Doesn't have to be the whole MMO thing like .hack, just like it.

Closest thing I could think of is [URL="http://myanimelist.net/anime/11759/Accel_World"]Accel World[/URL]. The original light novel was even written by the same guy who wrote Sword Art Online.

There is even a crossover iirc. At Sakuracon Reki Kawahara explained that, if at all, he would connect both plots in a new series though.

If you want more of SAO, you can read the [URL="http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Sword_Art_Online#Volume_1_-_Aincrad_.28Full_Text.29"]light novels[/URL], theres 2 more volumes after SAO anime ended. If you want more anime like SAO, you could really just pick up any fantasy shounen.

SAO light novels have a special chapter called "Versus", where Kirito using a certain spoilery thing accidentally warps his character into the future (where AW takes place) and ends up challenging the fat kid by coincidence. The chapter is all about their duel, it's pretty awesome but you should only read it after volumes 9 & 10.
So yeah, the it's the same universe.

I think they do, and the "bloody storm" is actually "bloody stream" pronounced weirdly.
