Just to clarify, it's fine if we still masturbate while thinking of real girls (i.e. someone we know irl maybe or have seen, not porn stars)? I've got no problem with that, I really only used porn as sort of a jump-start because after awhile it isn't as satisfying for me.
As far as I know, yeah, you're fine. It's important that it's not about porn you've seen of pornstars or whatnot - the only difference between fantasizing about porn versus porn itself is the presence of a computer. That's not to say you can't fantasize about other stuff, ie. clothed people, people you know, etc. - just make sure it's not about porn you have viewed.
Sign me up, i've been wanting to know how a life without porn feels like. Based on what i've read, porn of just one person is allowed, isn't it?
I'm in too!
Based on what i've read, porn of just one person is allowed, isn't it?
Inquiring if this is okay too.
ill do this, keep you guys updated if i slip
I haven't looked at porn in like a week regardless :v: count me in
Ultimately no speculation in the world compares so the actual act of doing or testing something. I would say that it is a good idea to test the idea regardless of you agreeing or disagreeing with it. You do not have to fully quit masturbating or fully quit watching porn, but testing this for a week would ultimately not hurt anything. I personally have been testing this for a few days, and I have noticed changes which could be probably best explained by a raise in my testosterone levels. It would be comparably logical to assume that masturbating everyday may ultimately be keeping your testosterone levels too low, which would certainly make it a good idea to decrease the frequency (such as doing it once per week). I did not make it through a full week yet, but I will make sure to post the results when I do. (or when I don't)
No, porn is porn is porn if you mean a girl/guy soloing in the video.
I mean various pictures of the same person. [SUB]my boyfriend[/SUB]
this is a very stupid idea, especially if you cease all sexual activity and stimulation during this time period. i highly reccomend against this is if you are not above the age of 18 as it could cause some sort of mental issue later in life, intentionally stifling yourself like this.
Recently (maybe a month) I've only been masturbating once every 3 days to a week, and I do believe it's helping me a lot. I still look at porn, but I never "finish". I don't think I can actually stop looking at porn forever, but I am in the progress of looking at it a lot less now. I also have a job now, and I go to school, which keeps me very busy. I want to attempt this, but I don't know if I could. I could not look at porn, but there's still plenty of things that would tempt me (TV, videos games, seeing really hot irl girls, etc). Plus, deleting the "folder"! I know its easy to do, but I spent way to much time on it to just throw it away.
Reasons (online) porn is bad - You become desensitized to sexuality and dopamine reward in general - You become sensitized to more hardcore stuff; escalation causes fetishes which you do not want when trying to bone the sexy slunt - You develop hypofrontality (that is, your prefrontal cortex diminishes in performance) - You will get erectile dysfunction due to desensitization - You are more likely to develop mental disorders such as depression and (social) anxiety - Unless you're one of the lucky few, you will be forever alone due to the aforementioned problems.
ok i'm calling bullshit on this, that is downright illogical, if anything porn will reduce depression, sexual stimulation has been scientifically proven to release endorphins and feelgood chemicals.
What if someone merely looked at porn, but didn't "fap" to it? Would that still have negative effects, and would there be anything to gain by quitting in such a scenario?
Im in
Count me in.
I would like to participate
No looking at girls on facebook? What in the hell?
Okay, I lost already, I'm not good at this.
- You'll become more sociable and thus likeable - girls will notice this - More confidence - More energy - Less anxiety
Bullshit. Since when does masturbation have anything to do with social skills? And since when does masturbation have any influx on your confidence? I generally feel more relaxed and reinvigorated after a good fap, once I've recovered from the endorphins I feel pretty damn good. [editline]17th April 2012[/editline]
Sounds like addiction to me if you can't even stop looking at it, so I think it's not a good idea.
So basically we're not allowed to get exposed to imagery that has even the slightest chance of being arousing? Better bunker up then, because no matter where I go I see advertisements for lingerie/underwear and swimming outfits...
Is it fine if you look at Facebook or w.e other site's pictures, but you're still fantasizing in your head (real girls, no porn stars or porn of course)?
I don't masturbate nor look at porn. I do every now and then look at pictures of models like Ciny May and shit. Do I need to stop? I'm in tho if he answer to my question is yes.
i thought going cold turkey from masturbation can cause health issues? plus i become an asshole if i haven't masturbated for more than a week
I'm up for it, but does it count if it's with my girlfriend? We've talked about watching porn together.
Aight, cuont me in. I can do this.
ok i'm calling bullshit on this, that is downright illogical, if anything porn will reduce depression, sexual stimulation has been scientifically proven to release endorphins and feelgood chemicals.
Too much of it is bad for you though. The desensitization and lack of dopamine can lead to depression and anxiety.
this is only for you fucks that jack literally daily. and it is not backed by any christians
So masturbation is ok but not porn or am I getting this wrong?
So masturbation is ok but not porn or am I getting this wrong?
No, that's basically the idea.
No, that's basically the idea.
Ok then. I bet I will fail within a week but hell, I can give it a try then. Sure will miss efukt.
caved in, feels shitty
They say porn can cause desensitization, but I sure as hell still get horny at the littlest things. can anyone explain how that works? lol Anyway about to go to bed, gunna take a while to fall asleep since I used fapping to help me get tired faster. Day one completed without fapping. The real challenge will be in two days when I come home drunk.
