I think it's crucial that you are able to sexually gratify yourself, otherwise your going to be begging her for sexy time, even when she's not available.
Besides, it sounds as if you're treating it as if the objective of a relationship is sexual encounters and not the associated feelings of love/connection/etc, which I think is a rather dry approach.
If you just wanted sex on demand, you might as well just masturbate.
7 months at 1st base.
do you honestly think she's surprised i masturbate?
I'll join. Luckily I don't download my porn at all, so I won't be losing much other than my websites.
Oh man, I'm so up for this. I'm gonna go tell Father Charlie that I'm going to church this Sunday! He'll be so proud!
Sign me up. Lets see how long we can last at this.

Christ, it's like a college bet.
It's been 2 or 3 days since I stopped masturbating and I already can see some improvements in me. I'm less lazy and I actually finished my homework for once, I'm kinder to my parents, I actually care about my hygiene and I'm much more happier than before. Now we'll see how my social skills play out tomorrow. And my attitude has increased!
I guess I can see the attitude change.
Meh, might as well give it a try. Sign me up
I'm giving up porn as well, sign me up please. I need the testosterone boost for working out and general well-being.

Im here to pop your bubble and say you are under the effects of placebo.
It doesnt magically happen after just 2 days of absence from it.
Though keep doing it, placebo aint a bad thing.
Let's clarify. There's a difference between psychosomatics and placebo.
Placebo's require an authority figure, trusted by an individual, who essentially tricks the person into believing a medicine will be effective.
Psychosomatics on the other hand are willingly partaken in with the knowledge that IT IS a psychosomatic treatment and thus can be as effective as one believes.
I hate the idea that such treatments are 'homoeopathic', 'less effective', or 'alternative' just because some physical change is not made to the body through intrusive surgery or pacifying drugs.
Let's look at a few:
Anxiety, depression, anger, negative mental states, bad thoughts, self-limiting beliefs, diet, and thousands of other things (some of these are causal as well, like poor diet leading to ill health) all arose through mental conditioning.
Entertaining the notion that somehow you're going to forcefully purge thoughts out of your head using medicine is completely insane.
Honestly, the only thing that makes sense is combating described negative mental functioning that arose naturally, with something to the contrary which also arose naturally, albeit by choice, AKA self-facilitated psychosomatics.
from what i've gathered this is either
a) people seeing real improvement vs. dickwads desperately trying to defend their habit
b) dumbasses getting suckered into a bullshit cure-all vs. people who actually know what they're talking about
and i actually can't tell which is right
I've tried this before and I think the most I lasted was a month, but fuck it, let's do this.

No don't fuck it

Placebo's just a simpler term, ie. cologne is mistakenly used to describe any male fragrance.
All I know is that based on research/testimonies/tips I've read, rebooting has a net positive increase on my comfort and quality of life in general. I've tried to make hypotheses as best I could based on the research that frequent use of porn to masturbate causes desensitization and dopamine overactivity in the brain due to increased exposure to potential mates. If there's a positive outcome, then I'm fine with at least trying it.
If it's due to placebo/psychosomatics or due to neurotransmitter inbalance/homeostasis interruption, either way, I'm pretty sure it works.

Still feeling like total feces. It doesn't help that I'm halfway through exams either. First week is almost done.
I don't really fap enough for this to be a problem, I think at least. Is once every 1 or 2 weeks anything to worry about? That's pretty much the only time I look at it anyway.

You probably won't get anything out of it.
Sign me up, didn't do anything since Friday so this is already my 3rd day. If I had spent every minute I spent watching porn on playing guitar I'd be so much better.
Edit: miscalculated: friday evening --> so this is the 2nd pure day.
I lost, put me on the failure list :suicide:
After seeing that article earlier, I actually did stop, I didn't plan on it permanently, but after this, why not, now whenever I feel the urge, I just practice guitar until it stops, takes my mind off of it.
I lost, put me on the failure list :suicide:
Yeah put me on the failure list too

to be fair, the TedX video, and the abundances of sources and laid out material with various "studies" and graphs could be seen as an "authoritative" figure
so by your definition, it is a placebo.
And by your definition, this is also alternative "medicine"
One week, still going strong! But no significant changes so far.
Actually fuck it. I'm not sure if this really counts as a "failure" but I think I'm just going to cut down. I only watched it like twice a week before anyways since it wasn't something I really needed, but I'm gonna (try to) cut down on my daily wank. I've failed once last week too.
Technically I've failed, I've masturbated to porn. I think that's what happens when you stumble upon a boring weekend.
However, I've lowered how frequently I fap, I could call that progress.
Going to try the "every 6 days thing", the bad part is during the weekends.
Cross me out of that list.
Everyone is failing and now im tempted to, too. oh jesus.
Everyone is failing and now im tempted to, too. oh jesus.
YES join the dark side my apprentice give in and take what you want
I've cut down how many times I fap per week anyways and it makes it much better anyways.
sunday nights are fap nights :v:
