Sign me up. Been going without either for long times before, not like its hard.
Uh, unless those girls are porn stars I think whatever you did is ok.
The thing is I fapped like every day after I posted first, so that's why I wrote I guess I need to start over.
I tried going from fapping each day to fapping every friday. It didn't end that well, I have to try harder :smith:
Going to try this. [editline]fuck[/editline] worth it
Welp, I failed. Bad bad me.
Welp, I failed. Bad bad me.
oh god your title
I failed miserably. I just awoke inexplicably horny today. I had to study for a test and I couldn't focus so I just went ahead and did it to clear my head I'm so sorry facepunch. Ah well, guess I'll try again.
Going to try this. [editline]fuck[/editline] worth it
Did you already delete your "download folder"?

Ah well, guess I'll try again.
It's allowed, though not recommended, to fap. Just not to porn.
It's much harder to quit fapping than porn.
Quitting fapping indefinitely isn't healthy.
Ok, week 3 without porn, 1 week without fapping. How are you guys holding up? And I agree with LuaChobo on most of his posts. (Had to summarize, was gone from this thread for 5 days or so.)
There can be no harm, I will try. [editline]27th April 2012[/editline] Just clicked a porn link on reddit. 2 fucking minutes. To be fair, it's on my frontpage and I click every link.
I wanna try but I can't comply with this rule. "- Fapping's allowed, but it's easier to quit if you abstain. Abstinence leads to flatlining AKA the total loss of all libido, which leads to a quicker and fuller recovery. That's abstinence from both masturbation and orgasm" :( is it possible to do it and ignore that rule?

You can't fantasize about porn but fapping is allowed? I do not understand.
I know I shouldn't keep coming back to this thread. I know the audience I'm speaking to. Hell, this doesn't affect me in any way whatsoever. I'm just so utterly and completely baffled as to how anyone can take this seriously. Is this some test of resolve? Some attempt to make your life better? Some step to make up for something? I mean, just, think about this in context. The most hardline and religiously fervent sects in history couldn't stop their members from jerking off. Every person who has devoted their life to an abstinent lifestyle has ended up being exposed as having either lied or channeled their repressed sexuality into some weird fetish or desire. Think of the most level headed person you know or have heard of. Guess what? Unless that person is an asexual or a eunuch, they jerk off. Obama? Jerks off. Gabe Newell? Jerks off. Einstein? Jerks off. To his cousin. I just don't understand. There is clearly an enormous amount of effort being expended here, and to what end? So that you can derive some small and unproven benefit if you fulfill a next to impossible criteria? Imagine if all the effort and concentration you're using now was expended on something else. Rather than focusing on not doing something, why not focus on doing something? Like Mr. School Paper up there, that's what I'm talking about. And if you pull "it's okay to fap but not to porn", then I'm even more confused. I'm not a doctor, but I don't think your brain cares what you're aroused to as long as you're aroused. Functionally I don't see how fapping to porn is different than fapping without porn. [editline]27th April 2012[/editline]
I just realised I have been breaking the rules like 1000 times. You know what? Put me on the fail list, I will do this on my own in my own speed. Can't deal with just quit like that and I will feel better if I am "free" and not on some kind of list. First step will be to cut down and in steps quit. Yes, yes. Call me an idiot if you want to or whatever you think.
Like, this. This is what I'm talking about. Where in the fuck does this guilt come from? Why do you care if your screen name is or isn't on some list? Why do you feel shame for breaking arbitrary rules created by a layman that you don't know and haven't seen? I just don't get it. And then you assume that people will call you an idiot, and for what? I just don't get it.
I'm starting over for the second time, i think the only way to feel better is rid fapping and porn altogether.
And if you pull "it's okay to fap but not to porn", then I'm even more confused. I can fantasize about whatever I want. Maybe it breaks the rules from the op but at least I don't need to watch porn anymore.
I just don't get it. And then you assume that people will call you an idiot, and for what? I just don't get it.
Well that's just your opinion. You don't have to do the things the people here say. Do what you like to do but try it without porn. Maybe once a week or once a month but not daily.
I know I shouldn't keep coming back to this thread. -Snipped text, because who cares-
Ok. But who cares. I'm doing this for fun and because this thread is like a highschool dare.

Whatever, the point is, that's not any different than watching porn. Porn and a sufficiently vivid imagination are functionally identical. What exactly have you gained? The two minutes it takes to search for whatever fetish it is you're feeling for?
Well that's just your opinion. You don't have to do the things the people here say. Do what you like to do but try it without porn. Maybe once a week or once a month but not daily.
Why? Why would anyone do that? What is the point? Why does it matter if I do it every day, once a week, or once a month? What does it matter if I'm looking at sex while doing it or imagining sex while doing it? Where did any of these rules come from, and why, and for what purpose? Maybe I had a boring growing up, but most of my interaction with my friends didn't include dares involving our genitals. Maybe I'm the freak, but I find movies more fun.

I personally feel better after the first week without porn. I don't even want it anymore. It just bores me to watch porn.

Everyone does, it's a constant throughout all of human history. I'll tell you that Amazons weren't painted on vases out of an attempt to spread knowledge of their supposed culture. So tell me, why bother trying to stop? Why talk at all about whether you feel like watching it or not? You'll watch it at some point in the future, so what's the point? It's like bragging about how you didn't go to the grocery store. The fact is banal, there's no accomplishment in it, and eventually you'll be going to the goddamn grocery store.

I never watched porn daily. Maybe once a week if I even watched anything. And yes I have to agree with you that I will watch it in the future. But how does that affect what I do today? I can still change my opinion. [editline]27th April 2012[/editline] And I don't want to say that all porn is bad. It's just that I don't really need it so I don't watch it.

So you're not only contradicting the entire idea behind "no porn forever", you're contradicting yourself. Twice. So yet again I must ask, what is the goddamn point? Why are you posting about not watching porn at this very moment? Who would care, and why? What do you get out of telling them if they do care? What discussions can arise from the topic other than "why is this a topic of discussion"? Why does this thread exist?
count me in

I said I'll join this whole thing because I want to live without it. If I watch porn in 3 months maybe I changed my opinion so I don't really care anymore. And like I said it doesn't give me the pleasure I want to have. Whenever I fapped to porn I had to force me to finish it. Maybe you think diffrent and that's okay. No one cares about if I watch or not. This thread is a discussion thread so we can talk about what we feel, agree or disagree with. So you don't like this idea, I do like it. That's excatly what these threads are for.
Tell me, if porn made it harder to masturbate, why did you watch it?
Tell me, if heroin made it harder to feel good sober, why did you take it?
Tell me, if porn made it harder to masturbate, why did you watch it?
Because over the years I got used to it. I couldn't imagine to fap without and I never really tried.
6 days and still going strong.
