There's no way this movie can live up to the greatness of the tv show but I am still going to watch this
I cried when I saw the trailer. You. Don't. Make. Animated Shows. Into. Live Action FILMS!!
i think they could pull it off really good if they got the right actors and director and made three movies like the three books in the show.
Well obviously with the right things they could pull it off. But they won't pull it off, because the people aren't right. And I'm pretty sure they are making three movies. If they don't, that's just ridiculously stupid. Less crammed, and more money to be made. It's all there.
A new clip has surfaced http://splashpage.mtv.com/2010/06/25/new-clip-from-the-last-airbender-the-fire-nation-approaches/

Will go see it Thursday. For sure. I loved the animated series, always came home from school and watched this on Nickelodeon at 4. Everyday.
Looking at the clips i see they don't follow the cartoons plot. They haven't introduced Toph, yet flawless Earthbending.
How are they going to fit so much story into one movie?
Looking at the clips i see they don't follow the cartoons plot. They haven't introduced Toph, yet flawless Earthbending.
If it's going to be exactly the same as the cartoon, whats the point of watching the movie if you already know what's going to happen?
If it's going to be exactly the same as the cartoon, whats the point of watching the movie if you already know what's going to happen?
Atleast follow the necessary plot.
Looking at the clips i see they don't follow the cartoons plot. They haven't introduced Toph, yet flawless Earthbending.
Toph=Second Season=Second Movie
Looking at the clips i see they don't follow the cartoons plot. They haven't introduced Toph, yet flawless Earthbending.
Ever thought, HOLD UP THIS IS A SHOCKER. That its not Aang doing the earthbending?
the acting in quite a few scenes looks absolutely terrible.
after watching all the clips, is there any main character that actually looks asian?
ITT: People think everything is anime.
That looks really ridiculous.
This is going to be terrible.
The kid who plays Aang (Noah Ringer) goes to the same acting class as my cousin. Yes I live in Texas.
I am actually looking forward to this, I just hope they do not fuck it up like they did dragonball
Atleast follow the necessary plot.
They are.
what the fuck do you idiots not understand THIS IS THE FIRST SEASON NOT THE WHOLE GODDAMN SHOW
Why are they white and Indian? Shouldn't they be Chinese?
Why are they white and Indian? Shouldn't they be Chinese?
Does it matter if they're black or white? As long as they bring the character alive, who cares.
To me, everything about this seems awesome, except one tiny thing, and that'd be ALL THE MAIN ACTORS WARGHABLARGHABRAGH
Why are they white and Indian? Shouldn't they be Chinese?
As I said before they're all from different places so you shouldn't expect them all to be the same race. That being said, however, the fact that they're all white just makes it seem even sillier.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/last_airbender/ it looks like M Night's continuing streak of horrible movies isn't gonna be broken with Airbender. He used to make such awesome movies, what a shame.
I don't think people understand that the people who watched this show as kids, such as me, are now to old for this kind of shit, and the kids these days who never saw the show, won't have a clue what the fuck is going on. This movie's going to die hard.
Are you kidding? Not too long ago three of my friends came over wanting to hang out, and I was watching Avatar with my five year old brother because I had nothing better to do. Turns out it was a marathon, and my friends and I stayed there watching it for the next four hours. Avatar is a great show, many people can still watch it even in their early adulthood and enjoy it. I'm pretty excited that it's being adapted, and I'm glad they're not trying to cram the whole series into one movie and instead are stringing it out. EDIT: But of course, I'm still slightly worried as most of the other movies adaptations (Fucking superhero movies...) are ruining the media they're based off of.
Avatar was a fucking great show. I hope the movie is good. [editline]09:21PM[/editline] Well, apparently the movie sucks. I'm just gonna skip watching it.
