Where does he keep getting money with such horrible movies?
So, I got to see a pre-screening of it. It was garbage. I mean, it was REALLY bad. Horrible dialog and acting. The special effects turned out worse than I thought. And the 3-D was really bad.
And I loved the show too.
I've lost all faith in M. Night.
I haven't seen it yet but it sounds like a horrible disappointment.
Well, I'll skip that then.
I'm going to watch this damn movie with my big brother and little brother.

I heard a rumor that Shymalamadingdong added a twist where the setting was actually a future post-apocalyptic Earth. Is this true?

Then he kills all the main characters.
do not go see this movie.
save your money.
stay home and watch unbreakable and remember a time when m. night had some goddamn sense.
please. do not give them your presumably hard-earned money. m. night deserves to have his career permanently destroyed for this.

a) making fun of shyamalan's last name is one of the least original and least funny jokes you could make. he deserves to be heavily criticized for this but this joke is so stupid and played out i can't believe people still think it's a good idea to use it.
b) [sp]untrue.[/sp]

Agreed. I feel so bad; the theater was full of fans who were so looking forward to it. Afterwards, it was mass disappointment...I really expected more. Shyamalan had a tough job, there were a few things he did right that I actually enjoyed, but the characters, their motivations and their development...he doesn't know how to do that. And it showed. It really, really showed.
It deserves the 6/100 it got on Rotten Tomatoes. Opening weekend may be the only income in receives.
What a shame.
I'm going to go see it today.
I just saw the Last Airbender premiere in 3D with a few buds.
I was appalled to be honest. The first thing I would be expecting was the movie to follow the first season. It did so; by a shoestring. The acting was OK, the characters were also decent, Zhuko should have been more pissed and Iro should have been more lax and comical, instead we see him as a more solemn and dour person.
What shocked me the most was the names, and the lack of the Cabbage Guy, King Bumi was left out to my enragement and also the combat. M. Night just fucked up Firebending.
Zhuko: I'm gonna kick your ass Katara. Now lemme just light the hay I brought here so I can firebend.
What the Hell? He shot fire out of his hands and fingertips in the series, but now he has to bend flames?

He explains it as to make it fair, water benders need to get water, earth benders rock, and air benders air, he didn't see the final season apparently where you learn fire benders get their fire from the sun and life.
If he ever gets the budgeting for the next book I really hope he learns of it and fixes these mistakes. If ever.
His career is weak, PATHETIC!!! Just like the rest of its kind! These directors do not deserve to film in this world, in MY world!!!
The show was so good too. What the hell. :(
I liked the show, but this movie could be compared to the performance put on by the Ember Island Players. Except they did that on purpose.
The show was the only anime I ever enjoyed.

Are all the fire nation people indian ? Why ?
THAT WAS SO BAD!!!! So many pronounciation errors, important people left out, and plot twists that were not necissary. M Night is a HORRIBLE DIRECTOR.
what were the twists?
put them in spoiler tags
Did anyone else cringe whenever they said Aang's name or even the word avatar. Jesus christ. The movie was fucking awful. Instead of it being an actual movie, I felt like it was one of those youtube montages where it just kinda skips around cool looking cutscenes.
How'd they pronounce Aang?
Have no intention on seeing the movie.
Ong
Edit:

ONG.
Oh man. It was terrible.
I can't believe the Kyoshi Warriors weren't even in the movie. How can he continue the movie without them?
i'm looking forward to ripping this movie a new asshole with my friends

That's like paying to see a guy take a shit. Why bother when you can take the shit yourself?
Just go watch the cartoon again and save yourself the trouble.

Sadly there's probably going to be a lot of that.
Saw it. Possibly one of the worst movies ever. I'll just copy a post I made somewhere else.
Where to begin? The constantly slow-motion fights with no excitement at all, the HORRIBLE acting, the HORRIBLE script, the characters that had literally no personality, some pretty lame special effects, 3D that wasn't even used (not even subtly). The actors can't even pronounce Aang (Ong!) or Avatar (Aay-vatar!) right. Plus the way things happened, I just feel bad for anyone watching it who wasn't familiar with the original show.
But it was amazing to make fun of when you're with three other friends who liked the cartoon. See it for that reason only.
[sp]DON'T TOUCH THAT SPHERE[/sp]
Oh god. Just saw it. The only good thing about this was when it ended.
