So, i watched it despite the bad reviews. And i do not feel like going thourgh the thread, so here are my thoughts Why was it that race was limited to bending ability. For example Earth = Asians; Water = whites; Fire = Spainards.
They're separate nations...
They're separate nations...
So.... In today's society "China" doesn't just have chinese. Im pretty sure a fire bender back when there was peace wanted to do the "dirty dirty" with another nation... Or am i just stupid??

Said ONG not AANG, i still rage about it And it was short and very little fighting, but i did enjoy seeing Aang's story before all of the movie.
The Spanish are white.
I think the fire nation was indian [editline]08:43PM[/editline] but in the show they were japanese or something

I went into the movie expecting a live-action reproduction of Act 1 of the Ember Island Players, but I think that movie makes the Players look like a great play.
I've yet to see a good movie adaptation for a game/cartoon.
I've yet to see a good movie adaptation for a game/cartoon.
The first Resident Evil movie is good, I don't care what anybody says.
This movie is clearly set in modern times, like that time Ong got shot by a gun because the evil fire nation has guns and not polearms and swords and stuff.
They had guns ? Seriously ?
No, my post was fucking slathered in sarcasm gravy.
The first Resident Evil movie is good, I don't care what anybody says.
Eh, the Resident Evil movies tend to get mixed reviews when judged by its own merit, but I haven't seen many people who consider it to be even remotely accurate as an adaptation of the Resident Evil games. In fact that can be applied to a lot of the adaptation movies that got a mixed reaction.
The first Resident Evil movie is good, I don't care what anybody says.
I liked the first Resident Evil because it didn't try to follow the games and told an original story. As soon as they started bringing in characters from the old games, and the more powers Alice got, the movies began to go down hill. Plus that laser hall scene is great. I mean it was good enough to actually make it into Resident Evil 4.
I saw this movie on opening night and now I can't wait to see the squeakquel.
I don't get why they can't create fire anymore.. or why Aang, Sokka, Iroh, and the Ang di kai or whatever it was (i can't remember) was all pronounced wrong.. they did the 1st movie horribly.. It was just sad. The show is WAY better.
Acting is flat and horrible. You are told what happened instead of being shown. The action scenes are boring. Things which are important happen off screen. Most of the characters are utterly useless, soka doesn't fight once. The script is horrible and jumpy. There is no character development. Special effects are shit. Aang looks like a creepy baby man. THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS MOVIE!!! NOTHING GOOD AT ALL! Seriously, I was thinking of trying to find Shyamalan's email and spamming it with "SHOW DON'T TELL" over and over again.
Sokka didn't really fight in the show and even when he did, he was utterly useless.
So was this movie really as bad as everyone makes it out to be? [editline]03:17AM[/editline] Wait this guy wrote and directed The Sixth Sense but somehow created an awful piece of shit? Oh god.
I think M. Night's going senile with this string of awful movies. At any rate, count me out of the sequels. It doesn't deserve my money.
i'll go see the sequels but i'll be buying tickets to toy story 4 or whatever good movie is out at the time
The fuck is up with the guy on the right's face?
noah ringer seems like an okay dude. i hope his life is okay after this.
Watched this last week, but to sum up the hilarity of it you can peg it on the 'action' and bending. As with the .gif up there, the amount of excessive spinning and waving is stupid in comparison to how little movement it takes to bend in the show. The Fire Benders, if you have seen any trailers, have to create fire out of another source and bend that; to bend fire out of nothing is actually rare, and [sp]the only person who can do it is Iroh[/sp]. Also, to clarify, while the pronunciation sounds completely different from the show, the reasoning is due to the Chinese name that Aang is based off of (which translates and means 'Peace'). I didn't check with the other names, mostly out of lack of care, but just to clarify the naming. As well to this, knowing how much Asian influence is in each nation in the cartoon, I would peg most of the nations to be Ancient Chinese in ethnicity and era. Someone needs to find more .gifs, too. e. Also, everyone is noting how the Earth Benders were the only Asians (even though India is part of Asia), but no one seems to mention that the Earth Nation also consisted of Africans.
Aren't the Waterbender people suppose to be dark skinned as well
I'm scared to see this. I actually enjoyed the series.
Then don't. Go watch Predators or something instead.
Looks like the movie turned out to be a load of Hot Air, eh
This movie had everything to be a decent movie, i watched the trailers and i think : - well very special effects, characters identical to the cartoon series, it would be nice! But when this movie was released in theaters the critics come out and said that this movie was terrible, etc. I think the biggest fail was the Humor, second just special effects, and etc. I´m not saying that is a bad movie but isn´t an good movie! [editline]10:27PM[/editline] For me go to theaters and watch The A-Tem, predators or somthing else, and leave this movie!
Someone uploaded that 7 earthbenders throw a rock scene. Oh god, I haven't seen the movie but I didn't think it'd be this terrible.
Yes it is, i was expecting this to be an good movie, but i was wrong! I have one choice waste money on the A-Team or in this movie! The trailer for The Last Airbender show a movie that is not the one that i saw in the teaters, the trailer for A-tem makes me think: - This movie will be an total FAIL! But i was wrong, the choice that i made was to go to Theaters and see The A-Team, pretty well movie, non stop action, and very funny! A solid Good Movie! But i watched to thi The Last Airbender and the results where those i telled before.
... what?
Toung is using a translator, methinks.
