Zuko
What happened to the "bald" thing?
:wtc: No thanks, this program is too new to be nostalgic.
Aren't they suppose to be Asian?
I'm all for supreme white power, but why are Katara and Sokka not dark?
:bang: Wow I didn't know the cartoon series was so popular enough to make a movie.
Yes guys, it's really happening. 'The Last Airbender' is an upcoming film adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. It is to be written, directed, and produced by everyone's favorite writer/director/producer, M. Night Shyamalan. Texan Karate star Noah Ringer has been selected to play Aang, the last airbender. No one has photos of Ringer yet. I hope he's under the age of 16 at least. Twilight's Jackson Rathbone has been selected to play Sokka, a member of the Southern Water Tribe and Katara's brother. Deck the Halls' Nicola Peltz has been selected to play Katara, the last waterbender in the Southern Water Tribe and Sokka's sister. Slumdog Millionaire's Dev Patel has been selected to play Zuko, exiled Prince of the Fire Nation. Prince Zuko has been sent by his father to find the avatar. Now, I know you guys don't care what I think. But I was really disappointed with M. Night's casting choices. The Water Tribe was based off of Inuit people. Why would he choose a bunch of pale white kids to play the Water Tribe? Oh well, at least he chose Dev Patel for Zuko. Dev Patel is the shit. The only thing that could redeem these choices is a truly amazing casting choice for Iroh, because everyone knows Iroh is the best character in the show.
Ok really, first dragonball, but now.... WHAT THE FUCK!? EDIT: Ok now I'm really confused He doesn't look like Aang at all, the tatto was done cheaply and horribly, and why does he look angry? Aang's pretty much always happy in the show.
I recently saw the trailer to this, and it doesn't look bad at all. [editline]03:35PM[/editline] [editline]03:37PM[/editline] Hell this looks pretty effing good.
I saw the trailer when I went to see transformers 2, and I thought it looked really good. My Sister and I were like "holy shit, is that avatar?"
I don't understand everyone saying that Noah Ringer looks horrible. It's a pretty dead-on match. I hope most of you realize that human beings aren't drawn...
He looks alright, but the arrow isn't noticeable.
I wander whats next... I hope to god its not a live action spongebob
I bet this will end up being BARELY like the show, and really "dark".
This looks pretty good. The trailer made me want to watch the anime for some reason.
what the hell is this shit about anyway. I saw a preview and I thought "another shamalama failure"
he always films his movies in Philly near me. Signs was even filmed in my town. I hope this is not anywhere near me, I hate him and his movies. [editline]11:58PM[/editline] oh god this is being filmed here also >:(
Ohhh boy this was a great tv series. In this day, when most of the new cartoons I see suck, it was a breath of fresh air to see a quality show like this. I'd like to be hopeful and optimistic, but I can't. M. Night Shyamalan is going to butcher the name of this great series. He'd better prove us all wrong... fuck
This looks pretty good. The trailer made me want to watch the anime for some reason.
It's not an anime http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avatar:_The_Last_Airbender#Anime_or_Cartoon
If it's anything like Dragonball, I'll fucking cut someone.
If it's anything like Dragonball, I'll fucking cut someone.
If it does, fucking pick me, please.
They need to be more tan
Good show, Avatar is. Watched every episode.
that would suck
The second one has a 20 year old nerd playing him now.
The second one has a 20 year old nerd playing him now.
I know where we can find many 20 ish year old nerds but more 12 year old nerds
looks terrible which is a shame, cause the show is actually really good
My friend said they did a test screening of it and critics said it was absolutely amazing.
This is gonna make so many stupid 10-year-olds bury their heads in sandboxes and die.
My friend said they did a test screening of it and critics said it was absolutely amazing.
Maybe it was about James Cameron's Avatar and not 'The Last Airbender'
The second one has a 20 year old nerd playing him now.
Not to mentiona a larger budget. :/
anime
There we fucking have it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ca6hgJgPJ4 Super Bowl trailer. This looks cool.
