Never got the appeal of House really. [editline]20th August 2012[/editline] Me and my friends used to joke around, coming up with implausible patients for house to treat. "Next on house, the good doctor attempts to treat a furry."
I know it's been posted, but definitely Doctor Who. It's such a treat of a show with good comedy and fun British humor.
To everyone who just posts the show, at least provide a description of why you like it. I'm sure no one wants to watch a show they know nothing of just cause someone on FP recommended it. I have to go with Adventure Time as well. It has a great artstyle, lovable characters, many jokes, many bizarre sequences, and is a nice show overall.

If it's an established Facepuncher that I've known for a while, I'll take their opinion just through saying "watch this."

Big bang theory - (Sometimes the jokes are cheesy but i love it) How i met your mother - (Because Neil Patrick Harris motherfucker) Tron: Uprising - (I really love this despite being animated, everything about it is great) Fringe - (I love this shit) Supernatural - (No comment necessary, 10/10) House - (8 seasons of vicodine) Perception - (started last month i think) Touch - (Because Kiefer Sutherland god damn) True Blood - (Not the best, but it's a good time killer) White Collar - (love this shit) Burn Notice - (explosions and stuff, <3) Pokemon - (still love to watch on tv from time to time when it's on) Copper - (i'm going to watch the premiere right now, will post about it later, don't even know what it's about) The Listener - (Watched an episode last week, i liked it, not sure if i will continue watching though) Lie to me - (bad ass) There's a lot more shows that i watch when i can but these are the ones i watch the most, except Copper, don't know what it's like yet [editline]20th August 2012[/editline] Also i love Ghost Whisperer, because Jennifer love Hewitt makes my dick hard
In a similar vein to Doctor Who, Sherlock is an absolutely amazing piece of British television. The acting is phenomenal on all accounts (with Moriarty being my favorite) and the episodes are really nice modern takes on the original stories that are faithful and original at the same time. My only complaint is that there are only 3 episodes per season, but since they're all 1.5 hours, I can cope pretty easily. Also, the season 2 finale is inhuman. In-fucking-human. Also, The West Wing. It's a bit more political (obviously), but it presents both sides of the political spectrum nicely (it's not Dems are good, Republicans are evil, it's smarter than that) and Sorkin's writing is reason enough to watch it. The endings to season 2 and 4 are absolutely fantastic and the cast does a consistently good job.
Edited my post for further elaboration, that took far too long. :p If you need more explanation just ask.
Parks and Recreation The Office Justice League Archer Legend of Korra Young Justice
I have one to recommend, since all of my other favorite shows has been mentioned. The IT Crowd Began watching it a couple of days ago and it is hilarious.

The episodes continue to get better and better but when you reach the end it's depressing to know there isn't any more.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic *yeah, you know it was coming sooner or later*: I want people to watch at least up to episode 5 of the first season. Because alot of my friends who I've told to watch the show have said the same thing "LOL PONIES ARE GAY FUK U." So I at least want people to have proper opinions of the show before they call it Gay or shit or whatever.
QI
The Mentalist, the character of Patrick Jane is one of the most interesting characters on TV imo but everyone in the cast does a great job, especially Cho he's funny as shit. Also the storylines for each episode draw you in immensely.
The Sopranos, Californication and Breaking Bad.

I've heard some people say it's the British Big Bang Theory, which makes me think it's terrible.
Fr. Ted, what a show.
Torchwood and Luther. Brilliant British shows.

Batman: The Animated Series -The best superhero television show ever made in my opinion. Great art style, music, writing, and voice acting.
What the fuck, I was just about to post that It saddens me that newer generations aren't able to watch them on TV like we could, except some special cases (since some obscure channels show reruns), so a lot of people are missing that great series.
I think everyone should watch Sex and the City. Why? Because it's the perfect example of awful. Nothing in the show is done well: it's like a bible for what not to do when creating something.
Firefly Archer Adventure Time Courage the Cowardly Dog Psych Batman The Animated Series The new Batman Adventures
Is this actually good? I've heard some people say it's the British Big Bang Theory, which makes me think it's terrible.
Its WAY better than BBT. Better writing, much more likable characters, better acting, and its not an endless watch. About 3 seasons. Just watch it for Moss. [editline]20th August 2012[/editline]
Firefly Archer Adventure Time Courage the Cowardly Dog Psych Batman The Animated Series The new Batman Adventures
I can agree with all of those except Psych. That show is fucking annoying.
Gravity Falls Game Of Thrones Batman: The Animated Series Black Dynamite The Legend Of Korra Dexter The Simpsons (Pre S10) Breaking Bad IT Crowd Parks and Recreation
Lost, one of my favourite TV shows ever. I am currently up to the first episode of the 5th season (A little bit behind, I know) but the show IMO hasn't shown a lot of signs of slowing down. I can see why a lot of people stopped watching half way through, but I still like it regardless.
Completely surprised The Twilight Zone hasn't been mentioned. Some of the best storytelling I've ever seen on TV.
