I actually had a pleasant experience at Best Buy. Finally.

what drinks did you get
Congratulations, you just paid $150 to have the name of a mediocre pop artist on your $15 earbuds
Wait, isn't Monster the company that sells those 10x overpriced cables?
Sorry to be off the topic about Best Buy, but you could have just used this...
http://www.colorwarepc.com/p-188-beats-studio.aspx
And bought those...
That is pretty cool.
You should have got Sennhesier instead!

Etymotic Research's Er-6i earbuds are the best.
Designer technology sucks arse, to be honest.
beats by dre are for people that know fuck all about sound engineering
overpriced mass consumer crap
You do realize an employee discount is not 80%, especially not at Bestbuy right? I have a friend that works at Staples and he gets a 15% discount.
I don't know any place where employee discount is more than 20 %.
I prefer the $9 Philips headphones at Walmart.
What does "ringing up" mean?
What does "ringing up" mean?
Scanning something at a cash register.
Comes from when cash registers used to ring a little bell as the staff entered numbers in- before barcodes.
I went to best buy yesterday, they were out of stock on the phone I wanted :O
I have 3 friends that work at Best Buy. I always get discounts off of everything except games, since apparently, games are the only things in the store that BB makes almost no profit on.
Who goes to Best Buy to purchase a game?
If her supervisor hears about that she's going to get fired.

And those headphones suck, by the way.
I went to install a graphics card there a few years back. They saw I had the disk for Dawn of War 1 in there, and the guy "tested" the graphics card on the first four levels of the campaign, which easily takes over a hour to complete.
So am I one of the only people here who really wants a pair of those now?
Probaly.
Lol, The only acceptable pair of monsters products are the Turbine IEM's, you got ripped off, should have bought a good pair of Shures or Jays off of amazon.
Oh, dear lord. I am never buying another computer from that place ever again.
Over the summer, I bought a laptop from there. Everything was in order, except for the fact that I couldn't install programs on there. I took it back and got another one. Then this one wouldn't recognize my keystrokes every few seconds. It was really frustrating, especially since they couldn't find the problem.
WTF! I'm not crazy! There is a problem with that laptop, you idiots! It wouldn't recognize keystrokes every now and then. It may seem like a little problem, but it REALLY pissed me off. Oh, and they say that they did all tests on it to make sure that it worked, but then why couldn't you find this problem!? My own parents said something along the lines of "You were looking for problems from the start!" Uh, yeah! If I get a laptop from that place and it doesn't function properly, and take it back and get another one, you bet that I'll look for problems form the start on this one.
So, I took that one back and got ANOTHER one, this time a different brand, but not before I had to pay extra money because they couldn't find a problem with the other one.
I bet you're the kind of guy who thinks that Creative Fatality headphones are the best thing ever.
Uhh I came into this thread to suggest Sennheisers (hd555's have a spectacular price/performance ratio) instead of these shitty earphones that cost WAY too much
The Breakfast Club.
Good call. Great movie. Shouldn't have bought the headphones though.
That much just for ear buds? Wat?
Exactly my point.

Oh dear. I bought my laptop from Best Buy this year, too. (grrr dad I hate you.) They tried to charge me 100 dollars for drivers discs and a Windows 7 back up disc.
I promptly refused, then called Dell and found out they'd give me an reinstallation DVD for 10 dollars and I already knew that I wouldn't need a drivers disc for it because 7 does that while installing. :/
Seems like they rip everyone off! :v:
Bandwagoning. I have the Studio Beats by Dre, and they're amazing. Stop saying they're shit just because some overrated rapper stapled his name to them.
Dre isn't overrated. He's a great rapper. A lot better than the shit we have today, such as Fifty Cent, Eminem, etc.
So am I one of the only people here who really wants a pair of those now?
They're fucking amazing. They cancel out noise, they come with all this different kinds of ear buds, a carrying case, and the non-tangle cord, does in fact, not tangle.
To everyone bitching and complaining about the price: It's worth it. My opinion yes, but I am very highly satisfied with my purchase.
Then again, I could've bought Skullcandy headphones. That would've been a travesty.
I dont know anything about the headphones,
But Dr. Dre is one of the pioneers of modern rap. You are obviously a fucktard if you think he is mediocre or overrated. Thats like saying Michael Jackson is overrated and mediocre.
You do realize an employee discount is not 80%, especially not at Bestbuy right? I have a friend that works at Staples and he gets a 15% discount.
I know the HR (Human Recourses) Manager at my local KMart and she gets a 10% discount.
those are ok noise cancelling headphones for being on the go when u just wanna hear beatz (rofl) but they're not very good compared to other, far less expensive headphones for general listening around the house or something else :)
more explicit version: if u dont critically listen to music and leave the house they're good for you. if you critically listen to music (and by association, don't leave the house) you can do better. if you dont have $$ coming out yo ass there are better headphones that will do both but u have to go past the first ad u see on the street
So tonight, I walk into Best Buy to find a cell phone, which sadly, they were sold out of. So browsing around the store a bit more, I find these headphones called Tours (Made by Monster) and the series are called Beats by Dr. Dre.
http://www.beatsbydre.com/products/Products.aspx?pid=B4608
So anyways, I get a pair, and ask my mom if she wants a pair. So she gets the Lady Gaga version (which is surprising because we both dislike her). Anyways, we're looking at them, and this employee named Chris comes up and helps, not only that, but he's funny and generally friendly, unlike other BB employees I've experienced.
So we're ringing up. I have two pairs of headphones and The Breakfast Club, and two drinks. The lady looks at me and goes "I'm giving you 20% percent off your pair of headphones, and 10% off your pair (looks at my mom)." So our total went from $284.41 to $242.20. She basically gave us her employee discount, just out of generosity. It really made my day. Maybe not much of a story to you guys and girls, but I thought it would be worth posting, knowing that someones good deed has not gone unnoticed.
The price that they gave you are the real price, They're just trying to get better reputation :smugdog:
So she gets the Gordon Freeman version (which is surprising because we both dislike her).
You know I was hoping for a better chance to see how funny this script can get.
And now I thank you for that chance
