I feel you dude. If you do a lot of creative work it's only natural to dismiss your own work, but it's important to remember that second point. As edgy/shitty as it sounds people don't really hand out praise as often as you'd think in 'adulthood'. Fake praise only comes from terrible people and they don't matter. Take praise when you can and let them know you appreciate it either way.
A lot of times I question why I'm popular in my small circle, but I just remind myself I must be doing something right to get as many laughs off my dumb jokes as I do. If you're getting praise you're clearly doing something right and you should keep doing it.

see i agree with this entirely it's just hard to apply to myself
i spend a lot of time beating myself up over everything to the point where i basically need someone to flat out tell me what they like about me to make me feel any sort of confidence
obviously that's a silly thing to expect so i don't expect it and avoid talking about myself in favor of ignoring my own advice and berating myself 24/7
