ARghhhh that amputation was disgusting ewwww. :byodood:
I haven't seen the movie. :smug:
It was a good movie, although I doubt I would watch it again.
Went to see it last night. Good movie, definitely worth the watch.
I thought the amputation would be worse than it was, though. But it definitely gave a good visual representation of what the guy went through.
I really wanted to see this but unfortunately no theatres in my area were playing it.
Maybe I'll get it on dvd or something...
The amputation scene was beautifully done.
But all in all, very heartfilled and excellent movie.
Going to see it tomorrow. Pretty excited.
Except that no-one saw Valkyrie because we all knew it would suck...
I saw Valkyrie because I really wanted to see if they managed to make it look exciting. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it wasn't too terrible.

define "beautiful".
I agree that it was WELL done, but...
I hear all these people telling me how bad the amputation scene was and it wasn't even that bad, sure i cringed when he had to cut through the nerve but it wasn't ambulances waiting outside the cinema-bad like i had been told.
Always remember to leave a note where your going.

Did I say it was beautiful?
I said it was beautifully done. :smug:
Just saw it. Incredible. And the [sp]sound effect when he was cutting the nerve or whatever it was in his arm [/sp]was fucking spot on. This movie's a new favorite of mine.
I think James Franco deserves an Oscar Nomination. It was that good a role.
The movie was absolutely fantastic. I saw it yesterday. James Franco's acting was one of the best i have seen.
The pause and look when he realized his hand is under the rock, fucking spot on. I would do the exact same thing, "what the fuck just happened...is that my hand under that rock..."
Watching this film tomorrow, it looks awesome. Is it done in a video diary way like Cloverfield?

Not really. I won't want to spoil it though.
Just saw this movie, fucking amazing, couldn't watch the amputation scene though, was a bit too much for me.
Great movie, you could really see how he progressed through insanity over time and how he coped with it. Seeing his life being left behind hurt him and I think that's one of the reasons he got out of there.
I watched this today and i must say [sp]With about 15 min left when hes finally out of the cave and hes drinking the muddy water i was thinking, is that it?? but then the ending got me straight back into it.[/sp]
Great movie definite to watch
fucking amazing movie, just watched it
It is a pretty good movie. I thought it was really well made and I didn't expect it to be anything like it was. [SP]I made the mistake of going to KFC afterwards and not ordering a boneless meal.[/SP]
Oh wow, another film that I think looks great and then I see it's made by Danny Boyle, which makes it even more fucking awesome.
Saw it today, it was great!
maybe i'm missing the solution but to me there is a rather big continuity error.
when he's unpacking his bag and shit he takes off his watch with his teeth, couple shots later, it's back on his wrist, what gives?

He puts it back on?
May be a velcro watch.

I spose he could've yeah, just seemed odd to me.

How did you notice something like that?
How did you notice something like that?
I did too, but I didn't make anything of it since it being a watch.
This film is incredibly done, it shows how good direction can make a film much better than what the story is worth.
I want to see this but I don't wanna see the [sp]amputation[/sp] scene, although I sort of do want to, but I'm afraid it'll be too disgusting and I'll throw up or something.
