Children are a sexually transmitted disease.
If you don't want to have a kid, it's unnecessary pain.
So I guess I'm the only one on facepunch that likes kids.
Everything makes sense now.
Because you don't have the same opinion as them. You think people on Facepunch are going to accept your opinion without throwing their box collection at you?
I needed that lol, thank you.
She hasn't taken a test yet? Then that's the first thing. This may be coming late, but don't jump ahead to conclusions yet. She should take the test. Fear can be paralyzing, but whether she's pregnant or not, you BOTH have to know.
Also, I'd like to point out that, especially while adolescent, it's not uncommon for women/girls can have irregular periods or skip one once in a while. But TAKE the test to be sure. Or go to a Planned Parenthood to get an official medical test. And if it turns out she is pregnant, they can help then, too.
If she is pregnant, then the options, as have been said, are: carry the child to term and raise it, carry the child to term and put them up for adoption, or abortion.
That said, she isn't even sure if she's pregnant yet, right? So: stay calm and find out as soon as possible.
Please don't abort the baby. I know this isn't politically correct to say, but don't kill an innocent life just because you fucked up.
There are so many people out there who want children that can't have them. If I was able, I'd adopt the child. Who knows, maybe now is the best time to look into what it means to be a father.
I don't know why all of you are rating this guy dumb but he seems to have the best answer out of every one here.

Medically speaking, there isn't much difference between an extremely young foetus and a tumour other than the potential of becoming sentient life that the foetus has.
But you could say the same about sperm.
Because you don't have the same opinion as them. You think people on Facepunch are going to accept your opinion without throwing their box collection at you?
Facepunch is not the place to go if you want to express an opinion that it deems anti-progressive.
Put the baby up for adoption.
I'd be pissed if OP got the preggo test results and came back and said "lol she's not pregnant, nvm"
All of that wasted debate and boxes for nothing.

I like kids once they're past the unrewarding parasite stage and not quite to the brat stage.
Okay, just to clear this up a bit for me:
Does she want the kid? At 18, do you think you could HANDLE a kid? Do you want the kid?

Actually, I guess that should be :frown:

I like kids but I'm not going to ruin my life, my kid's life, and my girlfriend (hopefully future wife's) life because of having that child. Abortion is not a wrong choice by any means

I think facepunch is hinting something here.

This is the best stage of child.

Yeah, second post of the little kids thread makes the same point.

Moral of the story:
Get girlfriend on the pill, waive the need for condoms.
Military is not a good idea for a family that's already struggling financially - the mother will be left to handle the baby all alone and that's probably one of the most stressful jobs you could give a girl of 18.
Good point. Just look into every possible option. If you're lucky, your parents or hers will help you through this, but just be sure you don't become dependent on them. That can be just as bad in the long run.

Facepunch is growing up. In it's early days, it was an infant. Later, it hit the know-it-all toddler stage with the smartness, instabans, stored ratings, etc. Then it hit adolescent depression. No ratings, no smartness, nothing. Ratings were restored, and it became a productive teenager. Immature, drunk, but pretty happy and healthy. Now it's a young adult and beginning to think about having kids.
I'm sorry, but I value a child's life no matter what [stage] they are at.
I agree with you though, he shouldn't have to suffer. Which is why I'd prefer the adoption route.
I don't know. I've heard a lot of horrible/abusive stories with fucked up foster parents.

Later:
OP: Facepunch, help! We were out of pills but we had sex anyway and I think she's pregnant!

I hope not
I'd say have it. You can get funds from the government and stuff to help you but your gonna need to start saving money. You will get some shit from the government but not much.

I've heard horrible stories about regular parents too.

When you're on the pill, you get a whole months worth of pills, you have a month to buy some more.
It's really not that hard.

When will it be old and senile and have a fatal heart attack?

Yeah, and you get a whole month's worth of condoms, too. See where this is going?
Edit: If you've got a brain.
It's really not that hard to carry a spare condom in your wallet or something.
Hell, what are you worried about? Mummy and Daddy finding out? Well, shit..they're about to find out.
Yeah, and you get a whole month's worth of condoms, too.
oh my god.
Instead of making a thread, you should of gone and got some morning after pills. But it's probably too late now.
I don't know. I've heard a lot of horrible/abusive stories with fucked up foster parents.
There are a lot of reputable adoption centers out there where you can give a child to a good couple that may be sterile, etc

Nah she can take contraceptive B or Plan B. Usually you have to take it with-in a few days.
