HOW
I remember seeing Larry and His Flask open for Streetlight Manifesto. They put on a fucking excellent live show. Nothing like some guy going crazy on a massive doublebass that's taller that he is. He even carried it out into the crowd and was just tearing it up and headbanging like a madman.
That show was something else.
yeah, those guys are insane. i saw them at warped tour last year too and they killed it there too.

I stenciled their logo and spray painted it on one of my blank shirts.

I went to Warped but didn't get a chance to see Larry and His Flask. :(
You guys listen to Listener?

listener isnt even folk punk
Eh, close enough in my opinion, kind of like Matt Costa is close.
Anyways, this might not be Folk Punk either but you guys should check this out!
Ya'll ever hear of The Duncans? They take video games and turn them into punk songs, the lyrics are great.
http://theduncans.bandcamp.com/album/the-duncans-demo You guys won't be disappointed
This is my first time really taking a look at the genre. I heard Oh, Susquehanna! by Defiance, Ohio and thought it was amazing. But you gotta be honest I think this is a genre that has to "grow onto you." It hasn't just clicked for me yet but I'll keep looking.
Just found this guy, sure you will like it. He has an IMPRESSIVE 31 views on Youtube for this particular video, everything by him is great though.

Would you guys consider Murder by Death to be folk-punk? They're pretty folky, and sometimes punky. Might be a little closer to indie-folk but all these sub genres are pretty similar.

That said, Andrew Jackson Jihad is my favorite Folk-punk band. I've got a cool shirt, a patch, a coozie, and some stickers from one of their special deals. I'm seeing them live in April, so excited.

I saw them at the Che down here in San Diego. Somebody had jumped on their tour bus as an attempt to get in the show free. They dented it and ran off some place. They still gave off a great performance despite being pissed. Still feel bad for what happened though.

Girlfriend covering Your Heart is a Muscle the Size of Your First by Pat The Bunny/Ramshackle Glory. She has an account here but figured I should post it, heh.
Let us know what you guys think.
Can anyone recommend me some good Folk Punk bands with female singers?

Just went to see Blackbird Raum (well, 3/5 of Blackbird Raum actually) in some kind of squat, here in Switzerland. It was pretty good, they released a new album recently and I love this new song.
They're currently on tour around Europe (with the Gembrokers) so you should definitely check if they're going to play in your area.
My friends and I have a Pat the Bunny playlist for when we get drunk playing kings cup, screaming the lyrics until our throats hurt and our voices get out.
Something magical about the genre, seriously.
