ARGH! Now they're alternating! Is anybody else getting that?
Yeah, I got her going side to side without turning round fully Trippy
Before I got her to keep switching like 10 times randomly by staring at her, but now It won't switch at all.
Yeah, I got her going side to side without turning round fully Trippy
No, I mean one spins clockwise, and the other counterclockwise, then they flip and both spin in the opposite direction!

Funky illusion I ran into yesterday. Are the red lines straight?
You know that'd look better if the outside quarter of the inner arch was the same size as the inside quarter of the outer arch. That being, if the outer arch was, for example, created by cutting an arch with a radius of 512 units (so 1024 across) and a width of 128 units into a quarter, then the inner arch would have a radius of 384 (or be 768 across) and a width of 128 units. Or, if you want that gap between the roads (lets say it's 32 units wide), then take off 32 units from each side of the arch (so 64 in total) and make the arch 704 across.

How to change the spinning woman without headtilting bullshit, or closing your eyes. 1. Just look at her feet, you will notice that rather than going in a circle one direction, it seems like she just goes back and forth. Once you notice that go to step 2. 2. When looking at the full picture, just stare at her legs, and the second they start going left you can make it seem like she is spinning clockwise, then when they turn, you can make it seem like she is spinning counter-clockwise. 3. If you want to make her go one direction for a while, use the trick to make her go that direction, then look at her head, and she should remain in that direction. You can change it again if you want by looking at her legs.

But it is 100% true.
I haven't figured this one out ever. But it is 100% true.
You're not the only one.
I found the spinning things easy to manipulate after figuring out all you have to do is tip your head
http://www.flowgo.com/funny/13097_hallucinate-without-drugs.html That is my favorite one. If I could get a loop of that, stare at it for and stare at it for an hour, I would be set for life Also might wanna mute your computer for that one. Some really load repetitive music on there.
One of the comments. :wtc:
Dude it's a fucking illusion and day old design. frekkin nerdes around here.
If you don't like it: fuck off. This is a forum created for a mod that a lot of people map for. Go away if you don't like.
lol, failed train tracks!
Actually a road.
If you don't like it: fuck off. This is a forum created for a mod that a lot of people map for. Go away if you don't like.
Dude I wasn't being serious dude.
Uh, okay?
Your post quality remains in it's identity.
Yes, look closely at the grid.
Or hold a pencil up to it.
Or hold a pencil up to it.
Or your finger.
That's a variation on this classic
That's a variation on this classic
Except that picture is a fake and those red lines actually AREN'T straight. I would have erased the rest of the black lines, but I just woke up and I'm too tired to be precise. And those small bits of lines AREN'T causing an illusion of the red lines being bent, they ARE bent! I tried dragging the rectangular select tool between the red lines to delete the black lines and towards the bottom (where the red lines are bent) it went through the red lines.
Good find, sltungle.
Never accept things at face value. The first time I ever saw that chessboard one I checked it in photoshop and, lo-and-behold, the squares were actually the same colour. That one's neat.
They're still straight, but they're not perfectly vertical. The illusion is to make it look like it has a curve to it, not to make them look angled.
They're still straight, but they're not perfectly vertical. Go into photoshop or something, grab the rectangular select tool and try dragging it between the red lines from top to bottom.
Stare at it for 30 seconds than pull your head away from the screen its trippy
Not 'perfectly' vertical? They're nowhere near vertical! Go into photoshop or something, grab the rectangular select tool and try dragging it between the red lines from top to bottom.
Good thing the optical illusion is about the straightness of them then.
This one is an easier version of spinning woman.
I can make it go both ways! But I can't do the lady. :eng99: [editline]11:41PM[/editline]
This is fake. HAS to be.
Holy shit. Apparently I can do the lady. First go look at the CC and look at art and shit. Then look at her. She should be spinning one direction. Then go do some math. She'll be going the other direction! I did it and it worked. [editline]11:43PM[/editline] Dear holy mother of god i just did the spinning circles again and i can control it just by thinking the words left and right no bullshit i am serious goddamn it's amazing
