This is a bit random but what the hell does Dobson use the name Tom Preston for? At first I thought it was the name of his self-insert in SYAC, but it turns out the character is just named "Andy". I know it's not a pen name (at least not now) because he always credits himself as Andrew Dobson. The only account he owns that I know of where he uses the name Tom Preston instead of Andrew Dobson is his DA account, but even when he's talking to DA users he seems to prefer being called Andrew Dobson. So why didn't he just name his account Andrew Dobson or some variant of that? Did he want a pen name when he joined DA and change his mind afterward? Was every variant of Andrew Dobson taken? If so why did he choose Tom Preston over something that wouldn't be confused as his real name? It seems like the worst name he could have chosen for his DA account.

My guess is that he tried to use it to hide under when he came under fire for his inflation antics.

I think it's much easier to pull off pixel art than make normal, typical art. But that's mainly because you have less detail to work with, so you'll notice things easier that you messed up on. Also, it helps if you got tools like SkinEdit to help you out, which Dobson probably made use of.
