Heh, let me tell you about my experience in class today.
I don't know anyone in that class, so I just sit anywhere. Next thing I see, a perfect neckbeard right by me, he's talking jokingly and says "Gotta move that gear up!" ofc, since I'm sitting next to him I try to start conversation since we seem to have a least SOMETHING in common.
At first it's p cool, then he says them says "DO YOU READ HOMESTUCK?" I'm still trying to be polite, so I say "No, not really something I could get into. I read up to act 2"
Then it happened.
He literally said, in a non-jokingly way:
"LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT HOMESTUCK"
Then he just started rambling on about how Andrew Hussie is a god, and how homestuck is THE best webcomic, until I cut him off with "Yeah man, real cool, I already know plenty about homestuck, and I already know I don't like it" This guy just seemed to be the pinnacle of good taste because then he asked me if I liked TwoKinds. I kindly replied with "Eh, I feel absolutely neutral about it" of course he saw this as a chance to indoctrinate me, and went into a very loud rant about Twokinds that made the girls sitting in front of us turn around and listen. By the time class was over, the floor was carpeted with a thin layer of tomato sauce and fettuccine.
