I wonder what goes on in people's minds that makes them randomly capitalize words. Does their pinky just have a natural rhythm with the shift key? Do they just put emphasis on random words? Or is it the "fuq da police" of computers?
I Don't Know What You're Talking About.

I'm not a linguist, but I think that since English is a germanic language it might have originally capitalized nouns other than proper nouns, because I think German does that too. In any case, grammar of the late 1600s was not exactly strictly enforced. in Conclusion, fuck The police.
well, that ddos sure messed things up.

This Practice was common in English as recently as the eighteenth Century, as evidenced by many Writings of the Period, including most notably the Constitution of these united States. This practice is indeed derived from the Germanic languages, as English is a curious bastard Mix of Germanic Grammar and Syntax, and a Latin Vocabulary. Also, fornicate the Constabulary!
Thank you, Wikibot.
You're welcome. Always glad to help by rattling off random bits of obscure trivia. Although the only thing I needed WP for was the bit about German pronouns, and the precise dates. The whole "English is a bastard language" thing and the "German capitalizes all nouns" things were off the top of my head. PS: That bit about the constabulary? Doesn't apply to you. You're the *cool* FP constable.
