Shit England dropping in for a second, whats up with Connecticut?
It's awful, the drivers suck, it goes on forever despite its small size and is basically new york.
Shit England dropping in for a second, whats up with Connecticut?
connecticut and rhode island are states not even Americans understand. they ought to just be absorbed by Massachusetts and be done with
connecticut and rhode island are states not even Americans understand. they ought to just be absorbed by Massachusetts and be done with
We dont want them New York can have them. Though we should just annex the whole of new england under the name of greater Massachusetts
I mean new york could probably have some of connecticut but I want Foxwoods and Pawtucket is coming too :godzing:
I'd be OK with New England seceding and becoming it's own sovereign nation. This place seems to be the only part of the U.S. with any sense (except for maybe the west coast, idk)
the west coast could become Cascadia like the ancient fathers prophesied
And then we have peace in all the land
I'm surprised nobody posted this yet: [t]http://fromaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/moxie3.jpg[/t]
Moxie is the worst thing in existence
This winter has been fuckin' weird so far. We get like a foot of snow and then it melts all away a week later, rinse repeat.
That 'the south of the north' label on New Hampshire in the OP map actually got a chuckle out of me- I'm originally from NH but now live in South Carolina. :v: Kinda hoping to go visit some family near Boston this year, if things pan out.
Moxie is the worst thing in existence
You take that back.
Philly folks love to brag about Wawa but Cumby's does everything Wawa does but better imho Cumby's food, the actual branded shit like the chicken burritos and steak and cheese subs are pretty damn good even if they're terrible for you. Wawa food tasted like ass last time I went to one. [editline]29th December 2016[/editline] then again, you haven't lived til you been to one of these bad boys
From northern Connecticut and go to school in West Philadelphia. The Wawa you went to must have had shit employees because Wawa is superior to Cumby's in every way (except burritos) except Cumby's has better trail mix and slurpees. Love getting a made to order hoagie (what we call subs in New England) that makes you question why Subway even exists, or a made to order quesadilla, or a shake, or smores hot chocolate. Just don't get the burritos at Wawa.
As much as I like having normal seasons and snow on the ground, it's been nice not having to shovel every day
Also who here drives to NH to purchase liquor? It seems like the store I work at gets a lot of out-of-state people purchasing beer, wine, etc.
I must pop in here and say that I live in CT and go to school in worcester, drivers in mass are the absolute WORST. CT master race
I must pop in here and say that I live in CT and go to school in worcester, drivers in mass are the absolute WORST. CT master race
CT drivers have no lane discipline and don't move over when I come barreling down the left lane in my african dictator car. I'd say both are pretty terrible.
Also who here drives to NH to purchase liquor? In NH you can get beer and wine at the supermarket but not liquor (hard alcohol ie rum, scotch, vodka). Gotta go to the state liquor stores.

One time I climbed mt. monadnock tripping balls and when i got to the rocky portion it started fuckin pissing down and I felt like I was in lord of the rings. Anyone here ever been to the purgatory chasm in Sutton MA?
I'm discovering all these awesome new threads lately, and I just discovered this one too. So hello, from Chelmsfid how are y'all enjoying this wandy as fuck week

At the very least, they're far more consistent.
i live in MA about 15 minutes from Salem and do all my shopping there haha it owns Fun Fact: according to the state, going to NH to buy items in order to avoid sales tax and bringing the items into Massachusetts constitutes smuggling
Holy shit you're about as local as you can get to me; doubt there are any Windham FP posters :v: I lived in Salem for about 11 years. Shit goes deep back in to my life On the topic of the hopping the border for sales, I actually used to work at the Salem Lowes (wasn't very fun), and they had all sorts of theft issues because of the different jurisdictions between states. Lots of MA thieves that made a run for the border and sometimes got away with it. Of course, the more successful ones were always the ones that played it cool. The other issue was, which is really the other part to people stealing, is that they would then return the items and get the money for the item. Because of the flawed return policy, the cashier's at the return desk could sometimes tell by a customer's story and receipts that the item was stolen (sometimes from a different Lowe's, or different store all together....which I don't think ever worked for anyone), yet they could do nothing about it. No raising accusations of theft, no talking to the manager, just had to honor the return and take the hit. On the plus side, because I was the cart boy, and since Salem just happened to have some rich/well off people, I often could do exotic car spotting while on the job. I probably saw over 20-30 fairly nice cars during my 6 or so month stint there. Nicest I ever saw was a Ferrari 360.
Also who here drives to NH to purchase liquor? It seems like the store I work at gets a lot of out-of-state people purchasing beer, wine, etc.
The one downside, which is sometimes made up for, of NH liquor stores is that it is hard to find any rare, interesting brands, such as Jura scotch or Peat Monster scotch. The stores really love the big brands, can't blame them, but it's annoying when the selection sometimes feels so limited. But again, sometimes they do make deals with small brands and buy some batches. Jack Daniel's even has this campaign where they make special flavors for only a select-few states, and NH is one of them. I don't imagine MA has this problem? Have never ventured down just to buy liquor, so I honestly don't know. All I know are the NH stores.
I grew up in Nashua. The Windham / Salem area is cool. Certainly went up there many times for Canobie as a kid.
I don't know why I haven't been to MA more recently, now that I live close enough to Boston to day trip there. I think the last time I was even in the state was last March, when I still lived in Vermont and we drove on the I-91 to get to NYC. Last time I was in Boston is even further back. We went to the children's museum in like, 2005, and that's all I remember of the trip.
Still in Connecticut, still hating our State Government
Hey y'all, currently living free or dying. We really ought to get a roadtrip going sometime soon, I've been aching for some camping
I think this is worthy of a bamp. So bampity bamp. I worked at the Vermont plant for the BBQ fest this weekend. Saturday I flipped kegs and today I was wristbanding. I got super sunburnt. Anyway, I lost my shit when I saw this in their warehouse. [T]http://i.imgur.com/UnfBmwu.png[/T] We just got new forks in Boston, I plan on picking a couple of these up because god damn that is funny.

The day before raceday I earned my sticker in my Miata, after they finished final practices for the day. Travis Pastrana broke the previous record by like 25s. It was a nuts experience overall. You actually get the sticker as soon as you pay admission, you don't even need to go to the fucking top. There, I exposed the secret, kill me.
I exposed the secret
SHIT I've done the climb, I loved every minute it and regret taking a van down. I did it with family in...04? It was a long goddamn time ago. I've been trying to go again but I've been literally living at work so it didn't happen...maybe we'll do it next year. And shit, truck a lady up to the top to give out the damn sticker. You shouldn't get it on admission, whats the point? also, lately I've been cutting extra stickers up and running their contents through an anagram solver, and... "this car climbed" = Crab Child Times mt washington = Ham Gown Stint The Crab Child Times covers the tragic events of the Ham Gown Stint
