I'm not a great artist. This has taken me at least 10-20 times longer than it would take any of you. I'd say a cumulative 3-4 days. I had to go from not being able to draw to designing a decent character that's accurate enough to model from. It's honestly a miracle. I had a friend watching me on skype through a lot of the roughing and prototyping, guiding me on what looked right and wrong with the shape. There's so many godamn layers in there.
I'd dig out a previous attempt at drawing a character but honestly, I think I'd actually struggle to find one I draw that infrequently. Maybe if I have time I will draw this for you. I'll definitely do a 3D animation of it once I've finished my coursework. (It's a 2 semester long module because we haven't learned how to animate yet) So you'll be looking at like April next year unless by some sort of miracle I have time to do it in-between all my other modules.

Did anybody here receive a generic mail from "JVGBD Clothing"? Looks like they're scanning social media for amateurs and offer them to design Tshirts with a 15-30% cut. No detailed info on contract, copyright transfer or termination clauses, but they give a step-by-step to uploading basically whatever you want.
Sounds fishy as hell to me, but Google spat out basically nothing, just a bunch of very excited amateurs from around the end of August this year. Not sure if this is just a really inexperienced company or a scammer with a recent name switch, but I thought I'd mention in this thread because the stuff here seems to be more or less what they're looking for. So maybe someone here's already had an experience with them.

Well its a concept art piece for a sci fi story i have been coming up with for about two years. Which is kinda weird since i'm 18 and haven't gone to college yet. So its going to be about a few years until i can actually make something out of it.
Not necessarily. These days, with all the resources available online, you can make anything you would like. Even have it go somewhere if you work at it enough.

Though there is something certainly off about this one, pretty sure I messed up the placement of all the facial features.

Try flipping the canvas horizontally
If your experience goes anything like mine you'll throw up and immediately see a bunch of egregious errors

looks nice apart from the eyes, imo you should make a line drawing under the painting and make sure everything lines up before jumping to rendering - it saves a lot of time. As for the headcloth I would make a 2d "texture" of the material and warp it around her head to make it fit.

Looks great! Though I think for the HUD death effect you can ease the flashing to make it more readable and visible, and of course less seizure inducing.
You could have the small text stay a solid color because it seems those read outs would need to be constantly readable. You could also instead perhaps keep the flashing but have the subject column entries remain a solid color? Instead have the EJECT maybe pulsate rapidly instead of flash rapidly? If you want to keep blinking lights maybe add a sort of rapidly flashing red light vignette around the screen? Those are my two cents!
