Graphics tablet finally arrived in the mail, and I think I'm finally getting the hang of it.

I made this in a couple of spare hours for my work's Facebook page. I know adding the date seems odd, but it's something we do since it's a very international company and I do holidays for many different countries. I also did this quickie for a Hong Kong conference.
I understand if no one would be interested, but, is anyone interested in painting a single book cover for the first stand alone e-book (hopefully eventually printed too) of The Earth Collective world? I'm thinking a shadowy dark cover with three large viking gentlemen standing around the center point with a small man standing in front of them. It will be the only cover and I would be happy to discuss percentages of sales. Doesn't hurt to ask amiright?

I really like how the silhouettes are the same colour as the background. It's a cool effect. The Hong Kong one is good but it reminds me too much of the corporate art I see all the time when at work, so I don't like looking at it ;)
[img_thumb]http://www.tecstory.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Reptile.png[/img_thumb] A sketch of a creature from The Earth Collective. Letting people decide what to name it by giving suggestions. Kind of a way to let people have a part in the show. The name I like the most gets a free Decal from the show. (US only) if you guys are interested. http://www.tecstory.net/name-a_creature_intec/
Can we name him Doug? I think he looks like a Doug. Or maybe a Charles, but he'd need glasses.

What kind of opacity and brush shape do you use? I like the kind of pastel-ish finish you get and want to experiment.
Can we name him Doug? I think he looks like a Doug. Or maybe a Charles, but he'd need glasses.
Haha thanks for the suggestion, but I think we need a name that's a bit more alien than suburban dad. I'll draw him with glasses just for you though
[t]http://i.imgur.com/MYroExe.png[/t] do you guys have any tips for getting out of the comfort-zone? I've been stuck on front-view drawings for a really long time. And trying to convert what I know into moving subjects in actual scenes end up being distorted. and i've seem to have developed a cartoonish style, figures, since I haven't studied Andrew Loomies books in a long time.
It's only a minute. Just click play.

Do studies of whatever you're struggling on, especially from scenes that have movement, if that's an issue for you.

If you go a dozen or so minute to two minute poses every day you'll notice improvement

Absolutely lovely piece, hot damn. I just want to give some feedback on the portrayal of the archer's techniques, if that's ok. The arrow looks like it's aiming completely off, not in line. Also the nock point on the upper limb of the bow is too far down compared to the nock point on the bottom limb, which would mean an imbalance in the limbs, a.k.a not good. I'd also say the bow hand of the archer is rotated a bit too much. The arrow should rest on the part between the thumb and the index finger, and against the side of the bow. The wrist and hand are in-line with the arm, or you'd put unnecessary stress on your wrist. Also english archers, like I assume this one portrays, wouldn't pull their right hand towards their shoulder but instead draw towards the corner of their mouth, or more towards the top of the shoulder. The bow also has a "recurve" in the limbs, but english archers shot with straight longbows. I know these all seem like pedantic details, and they are, so please don't take offense. I'd just like to add some things that could portray the archery technique in the image a bit better. And again, that's a fucking lovely piece. Great job

Tell me if I'm being annoying. Here's more game toon stuff. Just to give that little smoothness. That little texture or gradient which is missing on some parts (like grass blending).

Only annoying thing i see, are these very dark shadows on the grass... Otherwise it's cool.

The gradient on the bottom of the right hill is very jarring when I look at it which I didn't mean for, and I find myself finding middle tones and it ends up looking cel shaded or something. I kind of like that look but in places like the grass it would look a lot better if it was a bit smoother. Thanks!
Would anyone be interested in making T-Shirt designs (one color) for a percentage of profits? Our first run almost sold completely out and we launched our Merch yesterday afternoon. I'm making some designs, but would love to have a variety of artists designs available.
Could you show us some of your designs?
[img_thumb]http://www.tecstory.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Test-Sketches.png[/img_thumb] hand sketches on a notebook before making them digitally. I really like the one on the bottom left.
