When I was asking people in my program about their experience with the figure drawing class before I had enrolled in it, they had a similar story as well. It seems pretty common. If the dude is excited about posing in front of people then it's to be expected it seems.
one time we had this fucking gorgeous red head woman and I couldn't stop staring into her eyes and she left saying she was sick but I know it's cuz she was uncomfortable :c
Good job getting rid of the lines. Your next step is start pushing darks and really understanding form. Observational drawing/painting should help. Also its too saturated but I understand that's part of the style you're going for. Might be smart to be more judicious with colour choices and saturation in future. Still, nice improvement! Looks good
Also I'm loving these rings haha. This is the coolest thing I've ever made

You should try adding a shadow line of the ring on the planet. It looks awesome though.

just draw it again
the second one usually turns out better anyway
Some Haiku I forgot about until Facebook told me I posted them 2 years ago.
Hiding in my room
Days and nights fleeting like dreams
My mind is my tomb
Screams of tyranny
Endless building pain and fear
and silence at meals
Time passes silent
As we worship what once was
Losing all progress
Stymied by my fears
I never once had a chance
Of finding myself
Sky is filled with Stars
But we are all looking down
Staring at cell-phones
P sure there's an old FP relic with a similar story.
Enjoy.

yeah but it's kinda sad that I lost it instead of scraping it.
At least it lead to me using colours again.

Anybody got any advice for painting rainy scenes? I can do sunny, snowy, night time all fine but when I try and do a rainy street scene, even from reference, it looks like complete shit. I don't get it.

Well the difference between normal weather and a rainy one is that everything's more wet in the latter. If there's water on a surface it becomes more reflective. It's also usually cloudy, so that means there's no directional light hitting the environment, so the shadows are mostly from ambient occlusion. Not really sure what else might help.

Also don't forget that wet surfaces will become darker, and more reflective (Photos from here) :

First attempt at edge definition/details without relying on linework, and also experimented with local light sources. All in all, turned out much better than I was expecting.
reminds me of old video game box art or fantasy book covers
which isn't a bad thing at all
Nagash from Warhammer Fantasy, I think..

I don't think I'll ever want to color or shade this monstrosity. Shame, really. I spent so much time into doing lineworks.
I really should not rely on lineworks but those 3 years sticking with pencils and paper really backfired.

You should definitely challenge yourself and color this.

You should totally have the guts of the pumpkin spilling out of the mouth of the left one like he's vomiting.
They look better than the usual jack o lantern cut outs

Ooh Ooh light them from underneath. It'll make the contours and texture pop really well
