Hmm, I probably have been painting too light. I think my biggest difficulty is preserving the appearance of forms with all this massive contrast everywhere. I end up with a mess of colour and the objects aren't coherent. I'll give one a good try and post here to get some cc. Thanks.

I was curious because that house looks just like this one assignment we had to do. One of the teachers sketched up a house and we had to recreate it in photoshop with proper perspective and set it in an environment. The house you drew looks identical to the one we were assigned.

Also just wanna say, totally off topic, but it really bugs me that none of the related videos or suggested videos afterward are your other songs. Youtube really doesn't want the little guy to succeed do they?

Also off topic, but YouTube are in the business of views, not channels, because that's what generates revenue through ads. The section on the right will always show you what the system thinks you will want to watch because that will in turn generate more views from you via continued watching and subscriptions - this means high quality content from big producers often shows as that is inherently likely to do just that, but it doesn't mean content from lesser channels won't show if the system deems it as something which is likely to generate views from you.
So what I'm basically saying is that there is no "Crush the little guy" agenda on YouTube - their agenda is pretty much "Do what's best for YouTube" which I don't think is unfair.

Nose and mouth look out of place. Eyebrows are off (one is more centered than the other).
Other than those, I think it's a pretty solid painting.

Feels like the face is kind of.. off. It's something about how you rendered it in comparison to the rest of the painting. Seems too light to me but im not good at that. Aprt from that i feel like the face is a little too simple. You paineted some really nice shapes there but i feel like the face isn't one of them.

It is kind of weird how bright the face is on the side opposite of the flare, you have really dar tones on that side of the body but not the face. maybe the light off the flare should dropp off earlie on the face. the nose needs some shadowy love. maybe. I don't know. sorry

I'm not the best on brand names for tablets since I've stuck with wacom forever but I don't think it should matter too much. It has roughly the same specifications as my Intuos 5 and I haven't had any real problems with its performance. Someone else probably has better advice but non-display tablets seem to all be the same to me.

Pick a random object from your house and place it next to a consistent lightsource like a lamp so you can practice form and lighting across different objects but with the same light setup, then go about changing the light around every other day.

It seems like you've stretched or compressed the typeface which is no bueno when it comes to typography.

Yeah that is better. I can't read the first one either way thought because of the resolution of the image. But, I think less is more, so, probably the 2nd one as a design, for promotional purposes, is better.

But everyone like B most too. I'd had to agree. The quote is cool, but the cleaner design just looks better on the eyes.
