Here's something I made recently! I wanted to make an automated marionette doll. I guess it would qualify as a kinetic sculpture.
That's really creepy. What's with the audio?
Did a 3 week environment project. This was pretty much a technical test for me and I used the time to become more confident with UE4, so, I guess excuse the kind of weak design overall, since that wasnt the focus this time round.

Thanks haha. I was trying to ahieve a sort of "uncanny valley" vibe with it. The sound is from an extremely odd motivational CD called "cheers to you!". Here's a very corny ad for it:

Was working on a small vector illustration and decided to throw it into After Effects for fun.

I drew some StarWars things from friends shouting requests at me, no references so a lot of the characters are off but I'm proud at how they came out.

Thanks very much :)
I've worked with UE4 before now, but this is defiantly the most advanced stuff I've ever done in it, its defiantly the most refined thing I've done in it as well. I've made 5 or so other projects, but nothing to this scale mostly just singular assets and 2 really basic dioramas. And yeh, this is all I worked on in the 3 weeks.
-snip-
Thought I was in the UE4 thread for a minute.

i was waiting for it to move, but it didn't.
what is it
[editline]7th December 2015[/editline]
top down view of a car maybe? If it is, i don't think the white in the center helps portray that
[editline]7th December 2015[/editline]
at first i was thinking it was the front view of something, like a transformer or a gravestone or something
trans am 20000
I could tell it was a car from the first glance, to be honest.
If anything it just seems a bit too thin.
I finished my cheshire cat :)
didn't have proper color pencils before.

This is pretty much a perfect 1:1 shape replica (sometimes I amaze myself with my following pre-drawn lines game) the thing is impossibly thin.
I made a cactus.

Hey lads, does anyone have a good tutorial for breaking down complex shapes (such as the head of a cat/dog/human) into simple 3d objects? My attempts never seem to look quite right.

This miniseries from Ctrl+Paint is wonderful: http://www.ctrlpaint.com/videos/constructive-form-pt-1
You can get the perspective sketching pack there in the store too.
My greatest animation yet

Also no more metal gear stuff I wanna try and create/animate my own characters.

Still faffing around with this.
Been poking around with a copy of Thomas Fluharty's schoolism course.
One of the things was to draw a lion, he gave out the reference material (really low res image of a bronze statue lion).
Struggled quite a bit...fun though!
