Started using ACDSee to organise my reference pictures. Got 1000 images and I have to go through and tag them all oh my good lord [t]http://i.gyazo.com/36afc62b2951f76979ef5d4898a82e9b.png[/t]
What advantage has ACDSee got over bridge? I haven't used it in years. [editline]5th February 2015[/editline] Also on the topic of that community artbook type thing, if people would be willing to work together and delegate out sections of threads and such get in touch. I'd say head to Facebook but Mako is a bitch and banned me for being hetrosexual.
I was hoping to do an OP in a similar vein to the 'What are you working on' programming thread, with one image per user and a brief blurb, that that's a way cooler idea!! Some sort of casual community art book would be neat
can I volunteer for writing the blurbs if you do this, I would enjoy that no end
Some of my bookmarks are from the 3D thread too. What's your stance on 3D and this thread - if we were to form an eBook, do we include 3D or exclude it?
What advantage has ACDSee got over bridge? I haven't used it in years.
I'm not sure - I've never used bridge. I'm just using it because I can assign a bunch of tags/keywords to each image and then select a bunch of keywords and see all the images that are relevant. Much more convenient than having multiple copies of images in multiple folders when the image fits more than one category (eg, flight AND wwII)
I like to draw a lot, but I get angry at my art quite frequently. For once, I made something I'm pretty happy with.
Perspective is all over the places.

Crumpets;47080152]Yeah, I've always struggled with perspective. No matter how much I practice I can never get it right.
Do you put down any guides or are you just eyeballing it
Is it a display/cintiq tablet or just a larger tablet with no display
22" Cintiq Touch, last time i played with a cintiq was back when I was at Codemasters, finally bit the bullet and bought one.

Some Deus Ex inspired wallpaper. [t]http://puu.sh/fwJVR.bmp[/t] More interesting how it was done: http://gifmaker.me/PlayFrameAnimation.php?folder=2015020511q9vqL45N8XUdkuTQcTCQL8 Here is first attempt. I had not plans, just was playing with pic. [t]http://puu.sh/fwLGn.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/fvv5d.jpg[/t] +Bonus [t]http://puu.sh/fwSPt.bmp[/t]
starting compositions for a perspective class, theme is samurai. will be refined as much as I have time to before class.
One of boss fights for the mobile game is almost finished. [vid]http://a.pomf.se/gsulbj.webm[/vid] We are trying to keep the fight kinda short, since that's important in the mobile world, but we are still adjusting the balance of health and whatnot - it's shorter than it will be in the final version, and it is being played on a PC which is easier.
The boss intro is a bit slow. I think the jumping looks a little bit sluggish as well, don't really get a sense of weight in the character that would make jumping obstacles satisfying

Speeding up the intro should be easy to do, the jumping we have been playing with it for a while, but we'll check it out.

Hey guys, I've been doing landscapes (digital painting) for a while now and I'm happy with how they turn out for me. I'd like to start doing portraits and was wondering what the best way to practice this is? For landscapes I just do constant photostudies, should I practice portraits in the same way? How long should I spend on a single portrait? I could spend hours on a rough portrait painting just trying to make it look 'right' - is it better to grind like this or spend maybe 30 minutes on each one and do 10x as many? edit: also what are the best books on the subject?
Hey guys, I"ve run into a bit of a snag with PS. I'm trying to make a range of customised business cards for a friend. The content of the cards is coming in while I'm working on the layout, so what I want to be able to do in Photoshop is have system where there is a master layout that automatically applies to all of my individual card PSD files, make changes to the overall layout later on without going through each individual card and shifting elements around. Is this possible through smart objects or anything?
Do you have InDesign? This is a built in feature in that and it's just plain easier
That is a very good point! Cheers

Or do you want to be able to draw faces without reference?
[thumb]http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b497/GeneSarg/Juliett_zpsnrtpqpoa.png[/thumb] [editline]7th February 2015[/editline] not done by filter
but tracing tho
well... yeah, that would take so long without it [editline]7th February 2015[/editline] and it wouldn't really help
I gave you a critique in the other thread you posted that in just a min ago, hope I helped give some insight
I gave you a critique in the other thread you posted that in just a min ago, hope I helped give some insight
Yeah I just saw that, when I have some time I'll give that a good look. Thanks!
