It's his piece of art and he can do what he wants with it. I think it looked better without a black background but it doesn't matter because it's his.

I am rarely really mean to people who offer help, I just saw his post after I was done. I have a great talent for doing the opposite of what would be the right thing. I also have LOTS of black paint. And i like it because multiple outlines are sexy to me [editline].[/editline] Thanks, by the way!
My first ever attempt at watercolour. C&C welcome.

But besides that, it gives a very welcoming and comforting feeling. Well done! Watercolor can be pretty difficult

Would be a lot less hassle than painting it after :P

[editline]19th December 2015[/editline] If you have tonnes of black paint, just paint a few canvases black and work on them with something white. Would be a lot less hassle than painting it after :P
Black is a strong colour and a lot of paints are translucent. It's not common to get a white paint so opaque that it will be 100% white on black unless you lay it on thick (the colours are as described when painted on white) and depending on the paint you use, a harder medium like chalk or pastels may crack it up - or depending on what black paint you use it might take months to dry. So you've got this kind of niche area in between translucent lighter paint fucking with your values and colours, your black layer being destroyed by the lighter medium, and your black layer drying in a non-ridiculous amount of time in which you can actually do something with it. So I mean, yeah it's something you could do, but it's by no means "a lot less hassle" in terms of the logistics of doing that properly, and it's definitely not a lot less hassle to reproduce the picture Mindfuck did because that relies on a black sketch on white surrounded by black - so you'd have to negative paint the line work - if you can do that then gg.
I agree with 153x, there's something so friendly about it. It's a lovely little painting that.
What did you black out the background with?
Molotow acrylics markers. Some of the white too, pretty white even on black. Dillutes well with water and boy that shit is WHITE as hell even in thin layers.
These are the flyer designs I did for Shuttle in chronological order, what do you guys think? Did I improve?
really quick sketchup of futuristic soldier guy
Finished this And now that the semester's over I'm going to try for a Blizzard internship but shh don't tell anyone
i was bored so i decided to fuck around in gimp for an hour all i did was add a few images and then distort them beyond their original cohesion with gimp's color tools. and then i put them all together in fancy ways.
I've been doing a LOT of adult colouring these past couple of months, and one of my completed works recently got published in the colouring magazine I'm subscribed to :D
What is Shuttle? [editline]21st December 2015[/editline] cause its cool as fuck [editline]21st December 2015[/editline]
It's actually just a Hip hop party. :v: Not really my kind of music but they let me do whatever I want with the designs so that's cool.
thems some long arms
It's actually pretty cool how immediately ape-like he looks just because of that.
It's actually just a Hip hop party. :v: Not really my kind of music but they let me do whatever I want with the designs so that's cool.
I thought it had something to do with cyberpunk, not hiphop.
I thought it had something to do with cyberpunk, not hiphop.
Well the theme of the parties is actually space exploration etc.. They also call the parties launches instead of just parties. There's always like a countdown in the beginning and the party itself is the journey. Pretty neat. I have been to some of the Shuttle launches and it's actually pretty cool even if I don't really like the music :v:
These are the flyer designs I did for Shuttle in chronological order, what do you guys think? Did I improve?
idk the second one will always be my favorite which doesn't mean the other ones are worse, i mean, the 3rd and 4th have some really neat designs going on and every later one is probably better on a technical level, but i'm just a fan of that second one's color scheme (also i'm a sucker for tv scan lines)
I thought it had something to do with cyberpunk, not hiphop.
It looked more of a techno-industrial genre for me. cool designs tho' you can see the improvement
Finished my 3D final. Exported a turnaround in Marmoset and added some Wagner for good measure :p
[t]http://pre04.deviantart.net/f8d4/th/pre/f/2015/356/c/8/punished_snek_by_roman11777-d9l2yvm.jpg[/t] so i drew big bossu this is the first time i ever drew a human face before, so i think it turned out pretty great. although i'd love to hear other people's thoughts.
